It's been a long while since I ranted in the lounge. This thread is for geeks only. If you don't bow at the foot of the denizens of geekdom, do not enter! So anyway, I just upgrraded my computers. I used 2 R's for a double dose of my geeking.
I should be co council of learning how not to break an operating system. If you want to know what buttons not to press ask me. I've probably pressed all the wrong ones and have re-installed many times. I am also fairly linux savvy.
From left to right a total of 70 inches of computer monitors, 3 computers, and one keyboard & mouse to rule them all. Plus my laptop. *edited* the laptop is separate controls and not included in the screen totals Do I qualify?

Figure this is the right place to share a sweet little program http://www.gtopala.com/ SIW, this is the stand alone version if you have a u3 flash drive go to u3.com and find the version that runs from the flash drive and any computer you launch it on you can get any of the product keys and any user name and password that is stored on the system. Plus just an absolute ton of other information. You can also use a feature to mouse over ****** passwords to reveal what is underneath.
I just want to say, if you are a geek and have a HDtv over 40" you better have ISF calibration done or be planning to get one in the near future.
Hey some of you geeks help a brother out... http://forums.thephins.com/showthread.php?p=712161#post712161 gracias
Back in my hardware days, you'd be surprised at how many 'experts' brought back memory with burn marks on the 'wrong' side. I loved handing them back their new keychains.
To answer earlier questions, I upgraded my server/girlfriends gaming machine. I have this hand me down trail of computer parts and stuff that go to family when I'm done with them. So there are now two SLI desktops in my house. Yes I really have a girlfriend.
In the last 12 months, I've upgraded my monitor, replaced a power supply, upgraded from 1 GB Ram to 4 GB, got a 500 TB External Hard Drive, and replaced my DVD writer. Maybe I can get an honorary membership?
I got a memory install once because the guy said the memory I sold him wasn't the right one. The one in his Dell had chips on one side of the stick, and the one he bought would have it on the other side once put in.
oh yeah i upgraded my ram, put in another hard drive, put in a new power supply and blew out my motherboard so pfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffft to you sir.
