I'm happy with this. He proved to be an effective FB and came through in short yardage situations seemingly every time he was handed the ball.

He may have missed one conversion, and I'm not sure about that. Great move.

Ahhhhhh ... fuzzy memory here too, but I've got some vague memory of a third & < 3 then punt. Like I said, could be wrong on that. I feel comfortable stating we haven't had as consistent a 3rd & short RB since Csonka.

Great news! Not since O.J. McDuffie have we had someone with such a nose for the first down marker.

A good choice to extend him IMO. At least we know we shoudlnt really have to worry much about converting now on 3rd or 4th and shorts  Lou was insanely good at that for us last year.

this is good for the Fins because having a good blocking Fullback is one of the critical parts of a good running game which can destroy a whole team if you don't have a good running game

Lets hope Polite can stick around and continue to help out the running game.

Pretty sure it was 3rd and short that failed vs. Jets and then we converted on 4th down anyway. He's money. Just has a "knack" for finding that little crease. The one "thing" that the others lack in short yardage, whatever "that" is, he's got it.
