Do you guys think that could that actually work out in our favor? I believe if the weather is crappy it might be better for US... The Jills have speedy recievers which will be useless in freezing rain or snow, and Lynch is hurt and playing in bad weather won't help him, Action Freddy Jackson is more of a versitile back than a power runner, The one thing Beck has done well is not had turnovers in the BAD weather GAMES. He had good accuracy in the first two starts, and Cameron loves to pound the ball even if it is the ball boy running... I think bad weather is our friend here...
Well, Beck has played in cold rain in Philly, The monsoon and mud in Pitt, why not a snowstorm now. The season keeps on getting better.
I know you are looking for any sign of light but can I ask you something? Would you not think that the Bills speedy WRs. Lee/Parrish/Reed Have NOT played in bad weather. Lynch will be fine, and I am not sure if you seen it, but jackson looked very good against the skins.
Sunday: A mixture of freezing rain and sleet will develop by afternoon. Cold. High around 30F. Winds E at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precip 70%. Sounds like great weather.. I hope you are right. Sometimes I think the weather helps WR's get open... you get alot of the defenders slipping trying to stay with thier moves. The good thing is it slows down the pass rush... that's what killed us against the jets. I think Beck should get some time and if a wr can get open down field he has the arm to get it there even in the wind..
Yeah, it sure as hell worked in our favor last season when we played the Bills in Buffalo on that cold rainstorm huh? All the receivers were blowing by us in every direction. We lost 21-0.
I know Jackson played well, But hes NOT a power runner, which is usually more successfull in the cold weather, and Lynch from every report I have read, is still not 100 %... I didn't say thay Have NOT played in bad weather, I just know Bad weather is something that slows down fast recievers... Hey I could be wrong and as Veritcal pointed out like last year it could be a long day in cold weather for us, But I just think the bad weather helps us here... and how can you fault me for looking for some light?
Bad weather does not help us at all. Bad weather hurts the secondary, not the Wr, the wr knows when he is going to cut, the secondary does not.
its hard to catch a ball in rain and snow... and it slows them down and thats why you play a zone in bad weather
Running straight in bad weather does not slow you down, the gloves they wear helps with the rain, and knowing when your going to cut helps you plant your leg. The CBs, don't know when your cutting, so they can't plant as fast. WR have a big advantage in rain and snow (If the QB can throw in that weather)
I don't totally dissagree with you, I just think they beat us in the passing game in good weather, so the bad weather might "slow" them down some and make it harder for the long ball connection...
Ask any WR or CB who has the advantage in bad weather. yes it depends if the QB can throw it in that weather, but the advantage is clearly with the WR. But we can agree to disagree. I'm good with that!
Word! I think we can both agree that we will take a win ANY way we can get it! and I do agree and see your point on the advantage...
eh, im going to the game and its pretty doubtfull the weather will be THAT bad, but its western new york, things change rapidly, i mean no one expected it to blizzard what was it 5 years ago when ricky ran wild for 228. I was at that game and surely didnt expect it. The weather here actually has been predicted to be the best its been in about a week and a half but we'll see.
Buffalo owns us and will blow us out worse than the jets did last week. We have truly hit rock bottom.
Buffalo in Dec = 0-13. Wish we could win, but then reality sneaks in. I mean MM back home and calling plays? What kind of chance does that really give us?
Dude I am not faulting you for that. I think the bad weather would hurt us more if we did not play on turf. I think the turf helps a ton in the bad weather. Also I do think that it hurts the CBs more than it tends to hurt WRs.
One thing I will take from this game IS IF Trent truely is Buffalo's long term answer. For all of JPs flaws I know he could sling it no matter what the weather was. I cannot wait to see Trents ball in bad weather. He did say that the Wash game was the coldest he has ever played in. Now this game he is talking about wearing gloves.
Here's the latest on Sunday's weather from the Weather Underground. I don't see how bad weather balances the talent. We always play badly in cold and snow. Freezing rain too? We'll see what happens. Sunday Snow likely in the morning...then snow and freezing rain in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 30s. East winds 10 mph or less...becoming northeast. Chance of precipitation 80 percent
 I love your optimism Ken. Mike is the same way every week. He texts me every Wednesday to say we're going to win.
