    Back in Miami
What I find interesting is that they still had Brown taking the snap and lined White up at WR. What happened to White only being looked at as a QB?
If that's the case why isn't he taking the snaps now?

I hope this WC only gets "back burner" attention and that the major focus is on the bread and butter offensive packages.

How about a lateral to White; then a long pass to Ginn for a TD?....

there was a play last year where Ricky had an option to throw coming off the sweep. With White in that role, that play becomes a realistic threat.

The Wildcat options with Pat White + Ronnie Brown are limitless.

Hopefully, we don't get too cute.

Actually that fits, because the QB does go out at Wide Reciever for the wild cat.

I do not know about the WC only being on the back burner. I have seen drives stopped when Miami runs their bread and butter packages.

A bust is declared after two or three practices? LOL!!! Give us a break! Wasn't this his first practice with the entire team, including vets? Don't you think there is a much greater possibility that he had a case of nerves then calling him a bust?

Whoever said that only White would be under center for the WC? Did I miss the PC that Tony laid out his entire agenda and plan for these plays?

Guys, it was his first practice with the team...take a chill!

    Show me a fact...

and then I will be more then willing to face it. But declaring a bust, if not meant as a joke, after his first practice with the vets is HARDLY a fact to make such a declaration.

And me may be a bust, we don't know. Way too premature to even be talking about such things.

You never had a bad day on the job?

Especially perhaps a first day at a new job at a completely new level, one you had never seen before? Again, if you are kidding around, no problem, of course. Just please make it more clear that that is what you are doing. Communication on the net is hard enough. :knucks:

While that might be fun, NAH! I am against people being banned for having fun and goofing around with each other. I had enough of that at the last MB I used to post on. Power trips were flying and it just took all the fun out of it, and for me, these are all about fun, sharing and debating thoughts and our ideas about our beloved team. We (and I include myself) just have to be smart to really be clear as to what we are saying or the tone. MORE SMILEY EMOTIONS!! :tongue2:

Hate to spoil your bashing but that's where the qb lines up in the wildcat.. he's a qb.

this is true but i think (at least i know i feel this way) people were guessing that for the most part white would be taking the direct snaps.

i'm sure he will be at times in different formations of the wildcat. must just not be in this one.

Guys.... after reading the article I just posted.

It became very clear to me that Pat White will be like Ray Lucas. I say, we trade him to New England to try to salvage some value from him. There should be no reason why he should be looking like this after three practices.

    lol. Just kidding.

P White needs time to develop as a Qb, I think he can do it, but right now he is "spraying the ball around"....

    I am not sadly.

I am not calling him a bust by no means.

But I have said it before and I'll say it again....White was choosen because of his intangibles and athleticism.

NOT because he is anywhere near replacing Henne.

This is just the start of a long journey this kid will have as we try and use him as a weapon anywhere and everywhere...so long as it produces yards and TDs.

    It's not bashing.
    It's an observation.

Secondly, I don't believe your statement about where the QB lines up usually in this is true pertaining to White.
Lining up QB's at WR is what teams do to tuck/hide pocket or less athletic QB's in the Wildcat/single wing.
QB's that can't run it successfully. Ala that's where Pennington lined up in it.
They lined him up there to hide him away.

In fact some teams take the QB right off the field when running the single wing.
Is that what they'll be doing to White when runnning the Wildcat since he's a QB?

Pat White was brought here because he supposedly can run it successfully from behind center being a complete double threat of running and passing that a true RB does not offer while also not having to waste a WR spot to hide away a QB.

If the Pat White Experiment works out correctly he would be lining up behind center in it most of the time IMO.
Maybe this just was a variation to move White around, I mean he is supposed to be a versatile weapon...... then again it may be signs of things to come with White.

why not.. because it doesn't suit your argument? It is absolutely consistant with what the coach has been telling us. And bro.. you bash at every opportunity, the only one here worse is Kieth. Where did Pennington line up?? Maybe once or twice did he stay "at" the qb spot, every other time, he lined up at WR. Again, this is exactly what the coach said he was doing.
