Forget about the money.. They could use her as a mole within the inner circle to get information or sway policy.. The first thing she said on the phone was, "Imagine what this means for my career" or something to that extent. For someone that came sweeping in to protect her mother, that comment shows that she only cares about herself...
My first thought when it happened was Aaron did the car bomb. I think they can save Jack by getting the canister back and using it for a cure. The only logical one for me is that and/or Kim coming back to save him. Edit: I loved when Jack put Jeanine Garafalo in her place. He could of topped it off with a B**** slap.
When she came out with the "racial profiling" comment last night, I wanted to push her head through the computer.
no way Aaron had anything to do with the bomb. Wasnt Jonas at FBI headquarters?? I think that would be pretty lame. i do believe AP thinks the Pres' Daughter is up to something. Didnt she tell him she would "kill him" or something? So once he founds out Jonas is dead he'll will be proven right.(from scenes from next week looks like he follows her around) I think the middle man either has something to do with the conspiracy and had to still get rid of Jonas or maybe he'll try to get more money form the daughter.
i am impressed with the mount of work that gets done in the Allison Taylor administration between midnite and 4am. you got guys being processed into witness protection, given a new identity, and ready for transport inside an hour. the Prez's husband is checked out and transported to the White House. two separate assaults on the compound with the bio weapon and rockets. CTU brought out of mothballs, rebooted, and up and running in about 4 minutes. when has government ever been so efficient?
I thought Jack's reaction was fantastic, though-he stayed calm, cool, and collected and asked her to provide a better solution. Which of course, as expected, she did not have. You could tell he made her feel like a fool, and I applauded.
Some tiny Season 8 spoilers: Spoiler There's a casting call for a 6 year old girl to play Teri Bauer, Jack Bauer's granddaughter for a few episodes storyline, word is that Kim Bauer will also be back for a few episodes as well.
Predictable but good. Should be a good season final coming up next week. I'm guessing the last 30 minutes will be Jack getting treatments for his illness (which appears to have gotten better in the past 3 hours and at one point in this episode I actually forgot he was sick) followed by a big shocker/cliffhanger to end the season. I'm hoping that Tony somehow survives the day and escapes making him the only real villian besides Nina Myers to survive the end of the season. That way Tony is still alive and there's always a possiblity he'll return. I kind of like that better than Jack putting a bullet in his head. The only thing I wish the writers had done was focus more on the Jack/Tony side about how they're pretty much the same yet different too as both had their wives killed but Jack stayed loyal to his country, while Tony flipped out. They probably could have had a really classic scene talking about it but there's still 2 hours left so I'm holding out hope.
Actually, I was disappointed this week. It looks like (yet again) the bottom line only reason for bringing Kim back was to use her to motivate Jack to go rogue. *sigh* Oh, and I was obviously wrong about my Aaron hunch.
yeah im really tired of it too. the idea itself makes me sigh, nevermind having to watch it. does jack really always have to go rouge everytime and screw everything up? i feel like i have seen ten different versions of this before and this is just melded into another scenario my prediction that the shadow bad guys might be forcing a cure on jack to use him might still be open guy with the long hair was in a seinfeld episode. made me hate the thing even more on the flip side, the first 36 minutes of the show was awesome i really hope the president's daughter gets nailed, but i doubt it happens
More Season 8 spoilers on who will be back and who won't be, fairly minor: Spoiler Kim Bauer will be back for a couple of episodes in Season 8. Janis won't be (thankfully in my opinion).
Well, I missed the past 3 episodes and just got caught in time for tonight's big finale. I can't wait. I loved Jack's threat to Tony saying he'd shoot him because he had nothing left to lose, and then Tony responding with the same. I hated Tony becoming a villain at first, but he's been great at it. Looks like a lot to sort out in 2 hours...it's gonna be epic.
So Tony was both a good guy and a bad guy, I kind of feel bad for him in a way. The ending with Kim and Jack was kind of predictable, but the President turning her daughter in was not. All in all it was a great season and easily one of the best, if not the best, IMO.
Good solid season. I personally can't put it ahead of Seasons 1, 2 or 3 but I'm thinking it was better than Season 5 just because Tony was clearly the MVP of the season. I'm just happy that this season was light years better than Season 6 and hopefully the last season will be great. I'm glad the writers didn't kill off Tony and I like how the whole torture subplot went full circle with Renee finally realizing that it is needed at times. I'm also happy with the way Kim was written this season, I have always defended her a bit because I feel she got a bum wrap so this is a bit of redemption for her character. I also liked how there was a little Jack showing in her saying 'dammit' etc. Can't wait for Season 8, the filming starts in mid-June I believe and I will continue to post any news/spoilers on it.
I can't shake the feeling that last hour was a piping hot bowl of lame. The Kim/Jack storyline was predictable ever since they brought her back into the picture. The Rack Bauer torture teaser was unsatisfying. It was good to see justice prevail with the FD, but all in all ... meh.
I felt the final 30 minutes was pretty slow and somewhat boring. Especially the non Jack stuff with the President and the daughter. I actually was starting to get mad when it was 9:52 and it was still focusing on that. I really could have cared less for them and what happened.
i was rewatching it and noticed, before he shoots the girl, you can hear him getting the gun ready before he pulls the trigger, i thought that was a great attention to detail.
a really good ending to a great season. im glad that we at least told the name of the guy behind everything. that was a personal satisfaction i think going back to the kim stem cell thing was kind of lame, but it worked kim earned some points in my book really glad the president's daughter went down.

wow this has been my fav season of all... I'm so sad it's over now and I have to wait another year (my life feels so empty now )... Tony redeemed himself imo, I knew he still loved Michelle... good boy Tony... I've already bought my copy on DVD... it's on it's way... sooo love this season...
New Chief of Staff cast for next season http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/05/24-exclusive-ha.html Plus.....
I thought Ethan got his job back. i really like him, and there is no way tony does not come back next season... If its true, they should have had jack killed him this season. They will find a way to write him into next season, i mean they did bring him back from the dead...
also didn't someone say that Karen Hayes was suppose to be in this season? i could have sworn i heard something about that
Yeah I don't understand why Ethan's job is going to someone else. There's no word about if he'll be back at all next season. I have heard that the President's part is going to be very minor as of right now. And if the writers can find a way to bring Tony back that makes sense they will. I had heard she was suppose to be back but then the writer's strike happened and I believe she was doing a broadway show while film started up again. I think there might be a deleted scene on the Season 8 dvd explaining where she is by Bill because I had heard he mentions her but it was cut due to timing issues.
Tony murdered Agent Moss. He was going to let Jack's organs get harvested and used for terrorism. The only way he really redeemed himself was in the fact that he was doing all of these heinous things to get to someone that is even worse. But his tragedy was not even in the neighborhood of being able to justify the things he did in his attempt to avenge Michelle and his unborn child's deaths. We all were happy to believe Tony was really good, but he's just not. Would Jack do these things? Jack made the perfect point when he told Tony how Michelle would have felt about his actions.
Actually Jack's wife and unborn child were killed much like Michelle was to Tony. Which made it interesting that both of these things happened yet Jack went one way and Tony went the other. I really wish 24 focused more on that part of the Jack/Tony storyline, but it looks like that might be another missed opportunity. I'm still hoping for another Jack/Tony face off in Season 8 ending with both guys shooting and killing each other to end the series for good but that's just wishful thinking on my part. Renee Walker is already confirmed to be in Season 8. As is Chloe, President Taylor, Jack and Kim.
I never thought they should have killed Tony just to kill him off. In my opinion they should have had Tony escape. Once Jack shot him in the hand, he should have ran off and somehow got away so it leaves it open to him coming back at anytime. Tony is in jail now and probably won't be back for Season 8 as I can't think of a way for him to come back that makes sense. Of course the writers brought Nina back 2 times so it's possible I guess.
Well that's cause Jack's wife needed to die... if Nina didn't do it I'm sure Jack would have – eventually. I think secretly he worked this out and hence he remained good
Agreed Doc. Kind of a lame ending to a good season. In reality tied up NONE of the loose ends. Kind like humping for 40 minutes, then just pulling out and taking a shower.
It's been confirmed that Season 8 starts 18 months after the end of Season 7, instead of the rumored 6 weeks. So I'm guessing there won't be a connection to Season 7 to Season 8 like originally indeeded.
I thought it was a good season, but I had higher hopes. After the first 18 or so hours, I thought that it might well be the best season ever, but it petered out and seemed to recycle too many old plot devices. Still, I liked it better than 5 and 6. I think I liked it better than 1 too. 2, 3 and 4 remain my favorites, roughly in that order.
