Man, Microsoft really is pushing the console market in terms of making it a multimedia platform as opposed to just a gaming console. I wonder what Sony has up its sleeve for tomorrow?
Restoring color to the people....did they just combine a WWII stealth action game with the movie Perfectville? wtf
Looked pretty bland to me. "Now we have to make sure no enemies are looking as we plant the explosives!" "Better not stand near the big ball of flame!" "Now we run away and hide in a building till it blows over" Not exactly earth-shattering gameplay lol.
APB- Is there anyone who will want to play as the cops? -Oh lord this demo for KOTOR looks pretty ******ed.
What is cfb? They didn't say to much, but it looks like franchise mode (which they have re-hauled thank god) but online... Sweetness. Drafting, FA, etc... This will basically be our GM league but carrying over... This is going to be epic. If it is as awesome as I think, I'd love the phins GM league to go Madden next year. That would be hella fun. Plus we could play out the results and see what is what (maybe just sim games since not everyone is at the same skill level in regards to game play). Or a bunch of us 360 owners could pwn each other separate of the phins gm league. whatever. Still going to be awesome.
~ Dante's Inferno ~ The Sims 3 ----- Littlest Pet Shop (Yay, more kiddy crap) ----- Charm Girls Club (Now for girl kiddy crap) ~ Need For Speed Shift ~ Dragon Age Origins + Mass Effect 2 + Fight Night Round 4 ~ EA Sports MMA ~ NCAA Football 10 Team Builder + Madden NFL 10 Online Franchise ~ EA Sports Active + Grand Slam Tennis + The Saboteur ~ Brutal Legend + Crysis 2 ~ All Points Bulletin (APB) + Star Wars: The Old Republic (I just can't knock most things SW though I probably won't spend too much time on TOR)
Pretty much a given considering it's an MMORPG. Seriously, if they just used Mass Effect's engine with new skins for a real KOTOR sequel, I would guarantee it a best seller.
Oh, and my list... Excited about: Fight Night Round 4 Madden Online Franchise Keeping an eye out for: Dante's Inferno Dragon Age Origins Mass Effect 2 Saboteur Brutal Legend Crisis 2 Star Wars: The Old Republic will be a must buy if it's on the 360, but I only heard them say PC.
Lucas Arts and Bioware really piss me off... Knights of the Old Republic was amazing (2nd one not so much, didn't even finish because of bugs but that wasn't Bioware's game) and then we get nothing... When I first heard of Kotor MMO I wasn't thrilled, but I figured owell it's better than nothing. Now it's PC only... So ****ing ******ed.
Red Steel 2: We have stabbing, slicing, shooting & finishing/kill moves all with motion controls....but no blood...not one drop of blood(so they could get a T rating....) Thats the message we want to send to kiddies, no matter how much you stab & shoot your friends, no blood will ever show!
Yea, I didn't last much past the trial for Galaxies. It'll be the same for TOR most likely. It's also messing up the KOTOR comics series as well with all the lack of canon resolution. KOTOR was easily in the discussion for best X-Box RPG and the 360 could've really used a new iteration to bookend Mass Effect.
Joel Mchale is clearly a better presenter than anyone so far, but he's bombing with this crowd. Although I loved his Chris Brown, Red Steel joke. Very ****ty presentation compared to EA who did so well.
Never knew of the comic series... was it good? How many games of the year like KOTOR was for so many, get such ****ty treatment? It was what a star wars movie should be. Most people who I know who played the game thought it was a better story than the prequels (Not hard, but still awesome for a video game).
Oh it's very good. I've bought every trade paperback they had. Sure it's not wholly about Revan and Company (though Malak's origins are certainly there and especially so in the next issue) but the new story based on another character is pretty damn good. It's written by the same fine folks of the SW:TOR webcomic that previews the upcoming game.
CK, GM League won't be able to be continued on Madden... hell not everyone in there has a 360 or PS3, let alone the same system. However I'll be down for an online franchise with the 360 owners... That sounds SWEET!! Stitches, you're gonna hav'ta get it on 360 now... *cough*
I figured since he might be decyborged as the end of MGS4 indicates. I wonder if Konami will release one Metal Gear for the 360 and one for the PS3 featuring Big Boss(unless that image just meant he's in the same game as Raiden) ~The Beatles: Rock Band - Tony Hawk Ride + Modern Warfare 2 + Final Fantasy XIII + Shadow Complex - Joy Ride + Crackdown 2 + Left 4 Dead 2 + Splinter Cell Conviction + Forza Motorsport 3 + Halo 3: ODST - Halo Reach(needless milking) - Alan Wake(looks like a Silent Hill ripoff) ~ last.fm ~ Netflix upgraded ~ Sky TV live (UK only) + Zune Video Store - instant 1080p video - Live Party - Facebook - Twitter + Metal Gear Solid Rising(how the hell is game gonna work? Stealth? Hack & Slash?) ~Project Natal Overall a solid presser,, most of the games they showed werent exclusives though, the only real big exclusives that stand out are Splinter Cell L4D2 MGSR and Forza. Halo:Reach isnt a surprise but at least they are trying something a little different with ODST. Alan Wake doesnt look that intresting to me, visually stunning but it just feels meh to me. Project Natal is a ballsy concept.
Here is the problem with that, its been built to counter the wii essentially and draw casual gamers away from the monster sales phenomenon that is the new Nintendo. Problem is that a big part of what makes the wii attractive to the casual gamer is its price point as the cheapest console available. Are those people really going to shell out $250 for a 360 pro and then spend another $200 on Natal? I don't think so. Heck, even if they bundle it and make a pro + Natal for $300 I don't know how many people would be drawn away. I mean like I said, I think its impressive technology but if its that expensive I question how effective its going to be in terms of profit. I know I will never buy one. Though the more I think about it the more a $200 price point seems way, way off. I'm thinking more like $75 or $100. I mean its what? Two motion sensing cameras? Granted they are going to have to be pretty sensitive to work properly and there is the R&D cost but $200 just seems too high.
The AC2 trailer was sweet. Does someone know when guns were first invented? I thought they weren't around in the late 1400s. Yeppers MGS:Peace Walker is also unofficially announced.
