    Now Cameron is a liar.

He is a liar because he didn't throw Mularkey under the bus.

All 3 local paper sites have story after story and blog after blog about the atrocities Cam has committed by not being completely forthright about the offensive play calling vs. the Jets.

Especially, Armando from the Herald. (Who, if he had an autobiography, it would be titled Forever a Tool.)

Cam not flat-out admitting the situation, whatever it is, is not a story. Its what writers like Armando use when there is no story.

Problem is, there is a story, and they are too lazy to find it. Why was the switch really made? Did it have anything to do with the team audit? If so, does that lend credence to the fact that Cam maybe the most handcuffed coach since, well, since any Raiders coach?

But no, that's not interesting. Calling Cam out for not answering a question no head coach would answer, is. Belicheck, lies every week when it comes to the injury report. Cam, gives the standard business all coaches and players give when they are protecting the team, and that's news.

Coaches & players are literally schooled on how to answer questions asked by the media. "We got to play for 60 minutes", or "It comes down to effort", or "110%" are just more of the cliches and double speak we hear everyday. Its why sideline reporters asking the coach questions before and after the half is as pointless as math class for shrimp. The answers are so trite and expected you could create a drinking game around them.

In fact the only time a coach or player is candid about on the field/locker room issues, is when they have a meltdown. Guess what happens then? Yup, they get crucified in the media.

We suck right now and have all year, so there's no real news, I guess. But how is blowing something out of proportion to make news any different than skirting an issue so as not to throw someone under the bus? Its not, both are dishonest.

    Welcome to the club!

I've thought about advising a ban on links to the south florida media around here. :ffic:

My take on What the S F Media is trying to say is is that this whole coaching staff is in full blown KAOS! Instead of having one coach not knowing what hes doing calling plays ,now we got the whole Moe,Larry, and Curly staff trying to call plays.:confused2:. Of coarse Cam was trying to keep this hush hush.

i think part of the problem of being a Miami Dolphin is that the south Florida Media does not care about anything but controversy. i don't get the impression that any of the reporters are in anyway interested in the Phins doing well. instead, making controversial stories is their gateway to ESPN, CNNSI etc. i think there should be a ban on the SF media as well. atleast until they hire some decent reporters that actually care about the team.

the only one who has always cared about the miami teams is ed pope.

and say what you will about jason cole, he may not have been a miami dolphins fan but he cared deeply for the dolphins players that he covered and got to know.

i liked salguero the first few years, but i think working with the idiot twins has tainted him beyond salvation.

the only media rep worth a crap now is ethan. he's the "last great hope" for miami sports media, and one of the few who still consider his a profession rather than a stepping stone to a tv career.

i'd throw omar in there because of the respect i have for him, but he's still raw on the pro's yet.

Salguero has given up all pretense of objectivity after High-Fivegate.

Jeff Darlington and Harvey Fialkov belong in there too. Fialkov is interested in the team, not the drama, and I respect him for that.

For some reason that is all media. Although your media is kinda blind to the fact that you are a bad team with a ton of INJ. But none the less winning cures everything. Say you come out on fire next year the same reporters will be calling Cam God

doubt that. more like they would look for more sensationalism. winning wouldn't be big enough.

darlington is terrific, but for some reason i keep thinking that he went national at some point, like cole. did he?

fialkov is nice, a little raw in his style but very knowledgeable.

the real crime is dave hyde having the pulpit that he does, and its being squandered on a man with so little talent.

too bad ed pope can't live forever. he's the one media guy that shula never had to be careful around. the guy simply wouldn't print anything dishonorable about the team even if it could make him a very rich man.

It's strange. The sort of questions they're asking would be like going up to Eisenhower in May '44 and asking what date D-Day is going to happen and on which beaches you're going to land on. And then they get upset when the coach doesn't give them all the information.

Nope. He's still working at the Herald, still in Salguero's shadow. (How the hell Armando Salguero becomes the lead Dolphins beat writer at that paper, ignoring his seniority, is a total mystery.)

David Hyde is herpes with Microsoft Word.

On Nov 20 Armando did a blog about the "supposed" conversation leading up to the Dolphins decision to go for it against the Eagles. It was stupid and sophomoric. Clearly along the Armando party line. So i wrote this in his comments section:

I also despise Cote. Look at his picture. He looks like that business exec that would get kicked out of strip club for pawing on the girls and drinking too much Tanqueray & Tonics...with extra lime.
