Pennington, Porter share 2008 Most Valuable Player Award http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/...pennington-porter-mvp-s060509,0,7657079.story
Porter had the clutch sack against SF. Both were instrumental to this team's turn around, splitting it was the right call.
you have an amazing gift that you know how things would have played out in the past if they were different! but why would we have lost to oakland without him? his 175 yards werent that amazing, and that last drive for the field goal was made basically by Bess fighting for an extra 15 yards on one play and a few dump offs... what did he do that won that game for us? the san fran game? he had that one pass where Martin outjumped the defender and took it 61 yards, besides that Penny had about 90 yards passing that game... as i recall it it was a huge Porter sack that sealed the deal as San Fran was trying to drive for the winning score when the niners were at our 20 yard line... i could continue but its pointless... the way pennington plays hes really not gonna win you many games, hes just a safe, cautious player who wont take any risks so he won't lose you any either... an i am not discounting what he did for us... but blanket statements about how we would have done with or without someone are so pointless to make because there is absolutely nothing to prove any of it...
two things about Joey Porter: 1) he is the SackMaster 2) he tells it like it is:`The AFC East comes through Miami.' and I think the Franchise finally has a face and a spokesman: Chad Pennington congratulations to two great & deserving Miami Dolphins
