this is a good thing & while he's leaping I hope it catches on with other seven competing DE's & six NT's
time to step up across the board

Langford excites me, a small school product from Hampton coming in and making a tremendous impact for our football team. I expect him this season to continue his success, teams will have tape on him, but I trust Sparano and company have added more pass rush moves to his arsenal.

Langford has been impressing since he set foot on the field, literally. After the first rookie mini camp last year, Sparano talked about how quickly Langford picked up everything and how he was impressive. He did a very good job last year holding up blocks for our linebackers to shoot gaps through and outside linebackers to attack down fill freely. He had some mistakes, such as the one against Arizona, where he got a sack but was called for a facemask penalty. Frustrating but its part of his rookie mistakes so no big deal, in my opinion. I'm looking forward to seeing him improve even more.

If Merling and Langford can contribute consistently, that would take our defense to a whole new level.
