There has been some talk recently about bringing back the photoshop competitions that we used to have, so let's see what the interest level is like. We'll have sign ups and then I'll figure out the best way to format it. It will probably be a bracket format with a challenge each week, and then we'll have a thread for voting. are these gonna be based on strict photoshop ability or cleverness? i'm not that great at photoshopping itself, but I think I can hold my own in a contest of photo-wit. for instance something like "make the coolest banner/sig" i'd definitely lose at, but if it's like the photoshop contests on cracked.com (like, posters of movie prequels that should never be made) then sign me up!
It could be a number of things ranging from "make a sig with this picture" or of a specific sport, to a team schedule or movie poster. There are alot of options. On a side note: I was also thinking about a community sig, where we pass around a PSD file adding our own elements to it to see what we can come up with. We could find a way to include the folks who use GIMP as well.
It will be a little bit of both, it depends what the criteria for each round is. Movie posters is something that we've done in the past. No harm in signing up, maybe it'll be something you come up with a great idea for.
That is how PSTD's(photoshop sexually transmitted diseases) are spread. edit: I am game. Every tournament needs a last place, right? I can fill that role.
Not unless I need to be to get a good number. I'm making the challenges, so to keep it fair I won't be. Plus I haven't made anything for a good year.
