Yeah, I know he's not a Dolphin, but I think his retirement merits note on this forum.

For a brief spell, it seemed that we had finally found consistency in the form of Trent Green. Instead, we got 1-15. You gotta feel sorry for this guy with all the what-could-have-been's in his career. Oh well, at least he won't be getting any more concussions on the football field.

Always a classy guy, wish him the best. I hope he catches on in a studio somewhere, he'd be a better option than some of the guys they got there now...

Nothing but mucho respect for Mr Geen
Regardless of what was going on around him, he always remained a class act.

He will no doubt end up in a booth, or just as likely on a sideline with headphones on IMO

Trent Green is a good man, a great family man, and I appreciate the things he did for the Dolphins, and I wish him well in his next career after football. I have no doubt he will be very successful. He has good looks and can speak well. If he has a good presence in front of the camera, I believe a network will gobble him up very soon.

Wasnt his fault he was setup for failure here. Marino wouldve been just as ineffective with that offense and crap of a head coach.

    NO way.

There is nothing that would bring down Marino except old age ... and barely at that.

Good for him... glad he left the game before his head got mushier. At least he still has his health.

Nothing against Trent Green but Marino would have won 9 games with that team. I'm not saying the team and coach didn't suck but Marino was that good.

    Lets see:

    1. Hand tie him so he can't call any type of audibles at all. Check
    2. Create a vanilla simplistic offense. Check
    3. Emphasize the running game with mediocre talent like: Karim Abdul Jabbar, J.J. Johnson, John Avery. Check.
    4. Trade away all of the talent from the Shula days (Fryer). Check.
    5. 62-7. check.

Jimmy Johnson should write a book on how to ruin an offense and the career of the greatest QB ever. Well done.

But hey, at least he built the defense.
