It officially began today and all analog (tv) signals are supposed to be shut off by 11:59 tonight. I figured there would be some discussion of the topic either here or the lounge, but can't find anything. I'm hooked up to satellite, so it doesn't really affect me (though I am glad they are finally going through with it, tough I thought they should have back in February).

I wanted to know if anyone was having any problems (or know anyone who has), or maybe wanted to offer their opinion on the topic or something.

So is signal qualiy along your cable any better? I'm guessing the cable companies need digital receivers to take in the new local signals. Is the output any better?

Are they just converting it down to the previous low level quality?

there is some good and there is some bad with this new digital signal..One big one is that when I have weak reception, I can't see the picture or it pixelates and freezes, so I have to move my antenna around a lot, should I get a better antenna? The good part is the picture is great and there are many extra channels now
its fine, cable was getting to be a waste of money now that the internet is happening and the economy is a disaster..
