It's the best NCAA ever made. I own 06 and 08 and often play 06 on my XBOX... at least I can play with whatever school I want on it. And the recruiting is much more simpler=better IMO.
I take it you can't choose whatever school you want on years other than 06? Related question. I am looking for games on ebay. What exactly is All Play? Is 06 the best year ( I know there are certain years of Madden that are better than others) Keep ion mind I am playing on the "Third" platform. *cough*nintendo*cough* PS: Quiet on the platform Pete.
On the Wii, I would guess last year's Madden was the best. NCAA is terrible on the wii though from everything I have read. PS: Gamestop should have buy 2 get 1 free right now, which might prove cheaper than ebay this weekend.
I <3 Madden for the Wii. NCAA was a bit hard to get used to.....it took me a while but now I enjoy it. I did hate it at first.
NCAA 06 Had pretty much every school in the country in it and accurate stadiums. It's not available for Wii though... maybe Gamecube?
Sorry, just looked on the game's site and it wasn't made for the Cube... PS2 and XBOX have it however. http://games.easports.com/games/ncaa06/home.jsp The new ones have good gameplay (Never played Wii versions, however) it's just it only has D1 (FBS) teams as opposed to the last gen when all levels were included. Also the new recruiting is more in depth, which some people may like. I just prefer the simplicity of the old way.
http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=EASPORTSRAC&view=videos Look for the alpha madden games... Madden basically looks the same as NCAA but with better tackling. This is kinda upsetting... There are some major gameplay flaws in the NCAA demo IMO. Not being able to run up the middle is one... Every run has to be to the outside. Makes everyone besides Sproles, Chris Johnson, etc... way more useful. Shame... My level of excitement for madden just dropped a bit. Hopefully they square some of the issues. Doubtful though.
I watched some of the Carolina/Oakland gameplay... I felt that inside running was fine... Just that the guys playing didn't know how to cut into a hole. The wildcat looked like a pretty solid option too (seen just one play of it) and I felt the passing game was alright... The first two passes I seen were interceptions but I honestly thought "why the hell did you throw that there" on both of them... both bad decisions. Maybe it's just me but I didn't find really any major issues... other than the comments left by 2k5 fanboys showing their love for a game I personally returned.
DEAD TO ME... DEAD. 2K5 and Madden 04 were the pinnacle of football games. Both had different styles, but both were very good. 2k5 edges for it's attention to detail (like gang tackling... which took EA years to figure out) and presentation (half time show with Berman's fastest 3 min in sports was always cool). The fact it still has followers should say something, even if you don't like it. When I say flaws, I'm talking NCAA 10. NCAA's running game is NOT tight, and there are some similarities I see in those vids. Watch the ravens/Tenn game. 1st video/quarter to be exact (Ian runs like crazy with Tenn in the 1st). I still see phantom defenders just pooping off blocks for no reason. It is in the alpha stage, so that can be fine tuned (hopefully).
Eh I liked some things about 2k5, their presentation was pretty cool. I wasn't a fan of their gameplay though. That and I had to constantly hear AJ "Touchy" Feeley from Berman...
One thing to remember to consider with this demo, is that last years demo didn't play like the actual game either, and left a lot to be desired.
i liked last years superstar though, and it migrated well to madden. the high school championship was nostalgic.
I agree. I own both '06 and '08 also and I just play '06 all the time I can't believe they don't let you play with FCS teams on the next gen stuff. I need my Montana Grizzlies. EDIT: I also haven't bought a Madden in years, I still play '04
just downloaded ncaa demo for ps3. gotta admit, i haven't played this game since the days the u was still good, but i had a lot of fun with it. if madden plays anything like this, i might consider getting it.
I hit a game winning FG in the National Title Game as time expired and everyone just stood still as if nothing happened. If it's in the game, it's....????? Right.
if it makes you feel better, i was doing a game winning drive at the opponent's five. with like 40 seconds left i got called for a holding penalty on a play that would've given me first down at like the three. on the next play, i got called for another holding penalty and then got my pass picked off for a touchdown. after getting the ball back, even knowing i lost the game, decided to keep playing and got called for my third holding penalty in a row!!!!!!!! two holding penalties that cost me the game, and then a third in a row just so the game can rub it in . . .
I like the game planning system alot. It will be interesting to see how it plays out through and entire game of 5 minute quarters or more though. Same with the linked plays stuff... Cool idea... just too bad with a demo filled with 2 minute quarters you dont really get to see it in action.
So your saying the game is realistic? No problems here, I didn't have any issues passing with Tebow and I picked off Bradford 3 times in my first game. Doubtful

That 2007 game was a classic, as far as last year's game, did Lee play defense as well? Cause I'm pretty sure we hung half a hundred on them Tigers.
im shocked the tigers didnt hang themselves after watchign lee all season. But no, florida crushed us. The speed on offense was just a different level.
OK, so EA said they fixed the LB with 10-foot hops, but I just got one-handed INT'd by a LB that jumped about the height of his DT's shoulders-WTF!?!?! I am soooo disappointed, yet not very suprised...
