As much as I respect Jeff Beck Brother Steve he is truly under rated. But very good call.

I've read many an article in Guitar magazines that said back in the late 60's fans in England used to spray paint 'Clapton is God' on walls everywhere. The guy's been in so many bands and every one was a success. Cream is freakin' amazing.

The first two Jeff Beck Group records - Truth and Beck-O-La - are two of the greatest rock records EVER. I would choose either of those over Disraeli Gears any day.

Jeff Beck is incredibly underrated. Jimmy Page would be nothing without Jeff Beck. Nothing.

Ahh, I don't know, I would say the same thing but replace 'Jeff Beck' with Led Zeppelin.

Count me as another who thinks Clapton is overrated. Though I'll give him props for influencing Eddie Van Halen.

He's was Eddie's main influence, 'Fresh Cream' was a great album. Eddie used Clapton's musical influence to come up with his own sound.

Led Zep is not overrated. I think they are accorded their just respect in the rock n roll universe.

Of course not, but I don't know where Jimmy Page would be without them.

Got here to late to vote; so I'll post a question to all. Where would any of these guys be without the great Les Paul?

Now Chet Atkins vs Les Paul, there's another good contest, although Les would probably win just becuase of his mechanical contributions.

I remember listening with awe to the Chester and Lester LP alongside my dad, who was a fantastic guitarist in his own right. Good times.
