As some know, i missed my first opportunity to go to school and get an education. I got my broadcasting degree from a trade school. But my entire life i have wanted to be a teacher. I met with a counselor this morning about Belmont abbey college....and their adult education program. It is 2 nights a week for 16 weeks, 12 credits a semester meaning iam infact a full time student ill grauduate in 3 years and a semester (i finished a semester of credits at wingate university) . It is very affordable, and i can still work full time and go to school. I just sent my essay into the admissions office and filled out my application. Please pray for me......hopefully i can be given another chance to graduate college. School was never important to me when i was younger, i think back and realize i considered myself a athelte-student and not the other way around. I hope i can get accepted and fulfill my dream!!!!! Heres hoping for the best
hey good luck man. as you know i enrolled myself for a two year degree (for now at least). i too didn't think school was important when i was younger and am looking to change that now. best of luck, and keep your nose to the grindstone you'll get it done.
http://www.ohioclowncollege.com/ Ohio isn't the greatest place to live, from what i hear, but have fun and good luck!
Congrats brother Chris. I am so proud of your decision to get a degree and to work as a teacher. Good luck brother!
Good luck brother! College is a challenge but it sounds like you're head is where it needs to be. I wish you nothing but the best and hope you achieve what you've set out to do.
Best of luck to you man, sometimes it takes a while out on your own to get yourself ready to go to college. Waiting a few years can help you stay focused and get better grades than if you're fresh out of high school too
Absolutely AWESOME news brother Chris. I waited till I was almost 30 to take School seriously, and it couldn't have worked out better. Keep it important to yourself and you will do just fine. Take timeout to enjoy the nuances that go along with it as they will be gone when you are done. Take pride in doing things the absolute best you can. Nobody can ask for more than that Always remember that you have a great support group in here. Once you're done with School and you are teaching always always remember to punish Students that wear Pats, Jests or Bills Jersey's Somewhere down the road, some very fortunate students are going to e getting a great teacher
Chris, I think you should punish them for wearing any jersey BUT the Dolphins. Sounds fair to me. What about you?
Good luck Chris and as a fellow Education major, I am sure we can help each other out as this goes on.
Nope. Hodges. She has 2 Masters, lol. But she is going to work on her English. Its fine, she can keep a conversation, and go about her business without any problems. She is a very smart women, but she is getting up there in teh age, and she can't work as a banquet server for rest of her life. Its 2 semesters of enlgish 5 periods a day for 5 days a week. Yeah..After this, she can keep conversation with anybody haha.

Congrats, man. Hopefully you can manage your time efficiently. Going to school full time along with working a full time job is no walk in the park... But I'm sure you can handle it!
give up our future generations in exchange for you moving out of the country. Winner: United States. /end thread
Where do you plan on teaching dude, in NC? Not to be a downer, but the state of FL has layed off a number of teaching jobs. **** You Jeb Bush!
