Who knows with Minnesota man? I've been trying to figure them out for a couple years now and I still can't, ha ha. I like Rubio personally, although what I've seen of him is limited to you tube because I don't get international games but he looks like a pure point guard to me. Problem with him I have is that his shot is inconsistent. I love Flynn however. Have been impressed with him.

I saw the Timberwolves also selected Nick Calathes and that will be an interesting thing to monitor because locally the news has been that he's going to go over to Europe to play.

    Also, no Patrick Mills yet?

And I just saw the Pacers picked up AJ Price, who I like. I've read rumblings that they are desperately trying to move TJ Ford and then re-sign Jarret Jack as the backup PG.

My God, Portland will never stop stock-piling talent. There they go again with Mills. Does this mean anything for Bayless? I know he was rumoured to be on the outs a few times.

My theory with Rubio is a large market team will make an offer to the Twolves and let him absorb the game as well as allow him to mature a bit more.

He's 18 and has not even begun to fill in as of yet, and most importantly Rubio has to come up with 5.5 million himself to purchase his own Euro Contract so he can play in the NBA, if he doesn't like the T Wolves situation he has a ton of leverage to go somewhere else.

The Twolves were hammered in the Joe Smith signing, to me the owner is gunshy now, I'm surprised they picked him with the complexity of his situation.

Rubio will be wearing a Knicks cap by the time he's holding a press conference.

If not, then that's hilarious on Minnesota's part. I can't help but to laugh.

Bellinelli, Wright, and Biendrins are all former first rounders. Biendrins in particular is a talented played especially on the defensive end. His offense is limited right now but has steadily improved. Sucks from the stripe. As with many GS players he carries inflated offensive stats.

Wright is an athletic, lanky SF with the size and game of a PF at 6'10". Hes still very young and needs to add muscle.

Bellinelli is a project but has a great release/jumper. He should have a role as a bench scorer for a long time as long as he's not asked to play D.

They didnt really mess anything up. They took the best player available, it just wasnt the guy we wanted. GSW just became my least favorite team after the Bulls.

So D'Antoni should bench his ****** *** is what youre saying? I wont miss Q though. He was a better leader then player and it frees up more minutes for Chandler and Gallinari. Darko could be useful for about 10 minutes a game to come in and block some shots but my damn dude, worst #2 pick ever. Even worse then Bowie who was at least talented when he was picked over MJ and screwed up his foot 13 ways to sunday. I mean he was past over not for one good player but for about a dozen or so.

The T Wolves cant pay more then $500K of the 5.5M buyout. Rubio makes 90k from a contract he signed when he was 14. He may be there for a year or two. I think his contract ends in 2012 when he will be 20 or 21.

Dont ask me how you can sign a contract at only 14...makes no sense but thats neither here nor there. Unless maybe it was co-signed by a parent?

Darko is very talented in my opinion. He's got a good shot for a big man and he plays defense well. Problem with him is motivation. The guy is so damn lazy. Like I told you guys before, I know him personally and all he does is sleep and eat. Here when he was with the Magic, I saw him at a European restaurant quite often eating fattening foods and drinking beer. Then he went to Memphis and has said that he slept just about every day before and after practices.

Houston ended up with the steal of this draft...

Jermaine Taylor - SG - UCF

3rd leading scorer in the nation... with 26.2pts per game. Good size at 6'5 210lbs. He is extremely athletic, and can flat out score the basketball. Hes going to be a stud in this league... book it.

This will be a major test of John Hollinger's draft rater. His draft rater had Daye as the 4th best player in the draft...

I didn't love the pick when it was made, but there wasn't a guy on the board that would have excited me. I wanted Clark for the Pistons, and he was gone. I didn't want to climb aboard the Jrue Holiday bandwagon. I dunno, were it me, I probably would have picked Ty Lawson. Rodney Stuckey isn't a pure point guard; he's more of a combo guard. Having Lawson in the backcourt with Stuckey and either Rip Hamilton or (if rumors are to be believed) Ben Gordon would be a very interesting 3 guard rotation. I didn't see a ton of logic in picking Tayshaun Prince v.2.0 when we have v.1.0 already.

The Pistons' 2nd round picks did not thrill me either. I would have held onto Budinger, who I like a lot. But then, I don't think we're going to see many players from the second round contribute in a meaningful fashion in the NBA, so it probably doesn't matter.

What were the TWolves thinking? Man as a Wizards fan I am glad we made that trade, we fleeced the Wolves in that trade. I think that trade makes us much better than anyone at the 5 slot would have.

Yeah, I loved that trade for Washington. I loved it a little less when Rubio fell to 5, but still a fine trade. I have no idea what the T-Wolves have in mind. They can't seriously believe that Flynn and Rubio can play in the backcourt together.

Rubio skipped the press conference and now Donnie Walsh has said that he will contact Kahn about Rubio.

They did ok. Getting BJ Mullens from Dallas was decent. No superstar potential players, but nice players to add to the team, IMO.

Well if Mullens ever grows into that potential he will be a solid player. Nice mid-range game needs alot of work though. Better prospect that Kosta Koufos.

    Im still waiting!!! :pointlol:

He's always been talented and lazy. Hes just like another knick I've been watching for the last few years named Curry....just not as fat.

Darko is an excellent shot blocker and decent enough rebounder. At times he hacks like crazy though for stretches of games at a time. His offensive game is kind of robotic/mechanical when his back is to the basket. His face up jumper is ok from the 15 foot and in range. He kind of reminds me of a poor man's Rik Smits.

Harden is the scoring two they needed. I hope for their sake hes also a defensive stopper on the perimeter as well. That team is one more good big man away from being excellent. Im very high on Westbrook as he's an excellent distributor and gets to the hoop well, obviously Durant, and Green. Sefolosha is an ideal tweener off the bench who can play some solid D. They just need a shot blocker/rebounder in there to help Collison and another year or so to continue to grow.

Well someone I was listening to was saying they have some sort of backcourt like Isiah and Dumars planned but really the move doesn't make a lot of sense. They were in a good spot in the draft to get two future starters and they got a player they will either have to wait 2 years to get or dump at a loss in Rubio, I don't really think my Wizards could have gotten much more for that pick. I think we'd be in the same spot with Rubio that the Wolves are in and with the nucleus the Wizards have it doesn't make much sense to take a player that won't play for a couple of years. I'm not really sure what Rubio is doing, I guess he's angling to go the Knicks but really the Knicks have been a black hole for talented players as of late, I wouldn't want to send a kid to that kind of pressure and ineptness that early in his career.

There have been reports that the Rubio camp is "hoping" that Rubio is traded to NY.

The knicks havent been inept under walsh/Dantoni. That regime inherited years of ******ation from Layden/Isiah. To judge that regime on 1 year of results when clearly they inherited a multiple year project is wrong. D'antoni would do wonders with that kid. Rubio is already a great distributor and has a good jumper. D'antoni will have that jumper up to elite soon.

Meh D'antoni won't teach anyone to defend....the Knicks aren't a team I'd be pushing my kid to get to. The NBA is going to be in trouble if everyone drafted by Minnesota, Memphis, etc angles to get to NY or LA on draft day. I hope Minnesota doesn't play ball on a trade.
