http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/story/1120176.html Man, if he's 230 and quick and strong..watch out! Oh snap! Sparano said "standpoint". ' Sounds good. Oh snap! "standpoint" again.
Yeah! I'm really hoping for that as well. I've always wondered why haven't used him more in the passing game. We all know how he has great hands and I think it's safe to say; he'd have some pretty good yards after catches.
Yes, but even Cam took 1 game of giving high snaps to another RB before he recognized what he had in Ronnie. Good article, thanks for the link.
50 catches seems a bit too ambitious with how we spread the ball around. 35-40 maybe. But 50 would be a huge number considering how Henning runs the offense. Just my opinion.
Yup, if ronnie is given the opportunities, and the OL does its job, there is no reason why he shouldn't have an outstanding year. I think Ronnie is one of those guys that needs the ball non stop. Keep feeding him, the longer the game goes on, the stronger he will get... Unfortunately he doesn't get enough carries to be his most effective IMO. Hopefully he gets that this year.
He's a beast and the timing seems right for him to have a BIG year with Frank Gore/Michael Turner type numbers along with some outstanding receiving... Keep motioning him out wide on occassion, he has awesome hands and speed.
Always? Because this is the first time he's ever been one year removed from a torn ACL so this is kind of the first time this has happened.
Go back and search the last year clip and you will find him saying the same thing, Why would i make it up ,thats just plain dum.
Wanna bet he says that next year when they ask him again, come on what is he suppose to say ? I feel really slow i dont think i ever hit 1000 yds in my carreer. If you ask me I say don't say nothing and let your play do the talking.
IJMO but I really think Ronnie Brown will be as good as they let him be. If he doesn't get the carries he wont put up the numbers some people want to see out of him. Unfortunately if that happens we will be hearing he is not a good running back and he isn't consistant once again. We're lucky to have Ronnie and I look forward to watching him run this year.
I know! I can't wait for that game. 8 rows from the field in the end zone. It's gonna be crazy. I hope to meet up with some fellow fin fans there.
sounds good to me got a ground game in the making all we have to do is put the parts together wind them up & let them go the offense should be awesome this yer
It really bothers me when people say Ronnie isnt a great back and gush over what Ricky did. Not that anyone here has, just making a comment and adding my two cents. It's just fact that he gains positive yardage just as well as Ricky did, has put up a nearly identical (if not better, don't feel like checking at the moment) yard per carry stat, and fumbled MUCH less. Ronnie has just gotten injured, that isnt his FAULT and one was a freak play on an interception. It wasn't because he is frail.
I would like those stats, but IMO, save his legs.. split carries between Ricky and Ronnie.. 60-40, 70-30
Until he does those things, it is just speculation. He has the talent but can he handle 300+ carries in an NFL season? So far, the answer is we don't know, and since in 4 years he hasn't gotten it, maybe the coaching staffs don't feel he can handle it either. So far his best rushing performance has been 1,008 yards. At 27 years old, its about time to break out. Its now or never for Ronnie Brown. He is a FA after this season. If he wants someone to show him the money, he better step up his game. Wildcat plays arn't going to give you a long term contract and a big pay day.
Kinda uh...like you speculating that Pace would put up same numbers as Porter and that they are equal talent wise?
