Title says it all. Darren McFadden received the highest percentage of 2nd place votes ever. Two great talents between the two.

So there IS some justice in college football. Nice.

McFadden has to be disappointed, though. That's the second time in a row he's placed second in the Heisman voting, and it looks like he'll be going #2 overall in the draft at best.

I get the feeling he's going to develop a Jan Brady complex and run amok for some NFL team.

if Tebow declared for the draft, im positive he would be drafted in the 1st (even as a sophomore). but if i was him, id wait another year or two. though for some reason, QBs who go all 4 years in college, end up sucking in the NFL...idk why. Leinart being one of them.

Tebow would fail horribly in the NFL right now. Give him two years to improve his passing. (I'm not saying he's a bad passer, just that he needs to get better to be considered an NFL caliber QB.) Alex Smith's performance, or lack thereof, is likely making many NFL GMs wary of Tebow.

Absolutely not. I would say the odds are better that a QB who plays all four years of college ball is actually more likely to succeed in the NFL, due to the statistical phenomenon where college QBs improve their passing abilities each year.

Matt Leinart not setting the world on fire isn't proof that QBs should leave college after their junior years.

I think we already know how excited I am about this :D

    Nice quote Motion
I've always said I'd be shocked if he left early. This is a kid who will need all four years to develop his skills. Also, since he was home schooled, he's been loving college life and has always given me the impression that he is going to take advantage of every day he can get.

I just don't agree with Tebow getting the O'brien award, but that is the only one.

First off, Tebow won the Heisman and congrats to him he seems like a great kid. The numbers are what the numbers are so be it…but lets look at some of what is behind the numbers. Also lets acknowledge Tebow is unstoppable at 235-240 pounds from 3 yards out in a spread formation. Motion and I have had this respectful disagreement for a long time now. IMHO this feat will be rather easily duplicated and could have been duplicated this year by none other than Chase Daniel…Lets look at the numbers. Also I ran these numbers before the Big 12 championship game so take that for what it is worth as Florida did not have to play LSU again and I do not feel like rerunning the numbers…..

    Conference Schedule
    Tebow 142-213-2252-17-5
    Daniel 233-319-2640-20-6
Daniel had 6% points higher completion ratio, 3 more TD’s, and almost 400 yards more passing…advantage Daniel.

In their big four games Tebow (Auburn, LSU, Tennessee, and UGa) and Daniel (Oklahoma, Texas A/M, Kansas, and Illinois)
    Tebow 60-98-894-6-3
    Daniel 143-182-1438-10-2
    Big advantage Daniel!!!

Versus cupcakes. Tebow (FAU, WKU and Troy) and Daniel (Illinois State and W. Michigan).
    Tebow 56-76-875-9-1
    Daniel 48-80-522-5-4
    Huge advantage Tebow!!!

Of Tebows 22 rushing TD’s …. 16,, yes, 16 were less than 10 yards and 13 were less than 3 yards. Tebow had 29 Passing TD’s…9 against cupcakes with geographically challenged names. Daniel had 5 out of his 33 Td’s against cupcakes but had 4 INT’s…translation Tebow dominated the cupcakes and put up BIG numbers against the lesser competition, and was only an above average QB in his big four games…….and made a legend falling for 2 or 3 yards for a TD….would it have been a slightly different vote if Daniel had fallen in instead of handing off????

Florida had 15 non Tebow rushing TD’s…Mizzou had 21 non Daniel rushing TD’s. Florida had 4 of less than 10 yards by K. Moore. Mizzou had 16 TD’s less than 10 yards and 9 less than 3. Harvin had 5 TD’s this year…none less than 10 yards.

Bottom line…Daniel had a better year passing, team had a better record, Tebow had a lot of short short TD runs and dominated stiffs, so he wins the Heisman. Congrats Tebow, but he ain’t Superman outside 3 yards.

Why not? Best QB in the country when it comes to running and passing! June Jones stinks and I can't wait for the Gators to play them next year.

Jones was an idiot for saying what he did. It's one thing to campaign for your QB, but another to blast a competitor in the process.

Tebow is going to absolutely blow Hawaii up in that game.
