I've heard many rival fans referring to the Jets as the "Jest." Where did this come from, is this from the MNF incident in San Diego with the stupid fans spelling J-E-T-S wrong? Just wanted to get this cleared up.
Which makes that picture so priceless. Could have been mispelled in different ways but they end up spelling it, JEST. Could have been EJST, JSET, etc. PS17, that's why we call them the Buffalo Jills. New England Patsies. Of course there is no good name for Miami, we're just the dolphins
This sort of sums up the reason for 'Jest": [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uomh1d5t90Y&feature=related"]YouTube - Chad Pennington vs Kellen Clemens using an Orange[/ame]
I dont care what you do with our team name I personally don't talk smack. I try and just talk football....if I'm wrong about stuff I'm wrong but I dont need trash. I was just saying that the three letter word itself was offensive to a large group of people no matter what team they support, while the word Jest isnt on that level really. Its all good to me, I'm all for making smores.
Same here Alex and you know that I enjoy reading your posts. I think whenever someone uses the term Jests, Dollphins(or ****, whatever), Patsies, Jills, etc, it is simply childish and unnecessary. I was just making a point earlier. If you can't call a team by their correct name, grow up.
Being that this is a Dolphins board and this is my home, I have no problem with saying JEST or Jills or Patsies. Now, I would never go over to your board and start saying JEST.
