small schools got hit pretty hard in this game imo... Harder than usual I think. The difference between grades (an A school vs a B school) seems MUCH more drastic this time around. In exhibition, there's a cool new feature to even the schools. So If I'm using UM and they're a B+ school and I'm playing my buddy who is FUI (a C- or D school if I remember correctly), pressing a certain button in the team select screen will make FIU an equal team grade to UM. I thought it was cool. but like I said above. It seems that the grade differences are drastically separated. A teams seem to blow out B teams. B teams seem to blow out C teams. Of course there's flukes and upsets. But for the most part, through almost 2 seasons, this is my observation.

The engine in this game is a madden 09 clone except for the curls routes glitches and the fact your able to play man coverage. I have really enjoy playing this game online so far. I love the fact that if a qb is hit while releasing the ball it produces a lame duck which defenders can pick off and take to da house. The pass blocking has improve. To me this is the best football game to come out on next-gen. As soon as the names are uploaded i will join a online dynasty to see how that feature is.
the lameness of the lame duck passes is actually determined by how far into your sack animation you get before releasing the ball. thats sweet, and its gonna be that way in madden 10 too.
With the lead that Florida and ohio State have, any team not near the top ten barely has a chance Seriously a school like say, clemson, will never crack the top 15. ever.
I think gameplay is a lot better than last year... everything is smoother, IMO... so far, I really like it.
Based on what I've read on the OS forums it looks like Saturday'ish I won't get to start a dynasty before going out of the country from the 18th-28th
