If Nacho Sanchez stumbles early in the year the NY press will eat him alive.

That's the thing, the NY Media, and the fanbase aren't known for their forgiving natures. We can only hope for the worst.

The Jets will never get off the ground with Sanchez this year. I can already see the headlines now.

"Entire Jets team crashes into the Hudson".

Hey whatever brings a ring and not passing records. :shifty:

And Sanchez is not being treated like Namath by Jet fans, not at all. We are all optimistic, but nobody is saying we are going to be winning Championships with him yet, aside from a few high on more than life people here and there. The majority is just excited to see what he can do.

I think he will be very lucky to match the success that JP Losman did while in the NFL, and in fact, they are one and the same player EXCEPT Losman had more playing time at the collegiate level

  15. You mean the same QB that has a ring, something Dan doesnt have?

Yes, because winning a ring, something that is TEAM dependant, proves that he is better than Dan Marino.
Namath couldn't hold Marino's jock strap.

the next namath? you mean the next drunk belligerent fool who guaranteed a super bowl victory then got lucky enough to win one so people paint him as a legend when his numbers suck? HE HAS MORE INTS THAN TDs!

    JOE NAMATH http://www.nfl.com/players/search?category=name&filter=joe+namath&playerType=historical

    13 Years 1965 - 1977 TD: 173 Int: 220 Yds: 27,663 Rate: 65.5

    DAN MARINO http://www.nfl.com/players/search?category=name&filter=dan+marino&playerType=historical

    17 Years 1983 - 1999 TD: 420 Int: 252 Yds: 61,361 Rate: 86.4

As an individual player marino wiped the FLOOR with Joe Namath's VOMIT.

    /argument.

So if I name some player that has a ring, that makes him better than a player who doesn't?

    Yeah..
Richard Todd; Ken O'Brien; Browning Nagle; Chad Pennington and even Brooks Bollinger were all supposed to be "the next Joe Namath", too. So why not Mark Sanchez, as well.

    Alright bud.
Lets put up a poll, and see how many people will pick Namath over Marino...I guess Trent Dilfer was a stud also..or better than Namath at least, because he has better TD-INT ration (at 113-129, to Namath's 113-129, and a better QB rating) Right?

You keep on talking about that ring bud, because thats the only thing that franchise has ever done, or ever will do.

Pats missed out because of no TFB.

As for the Bills, at least we can all agree upon the joke of a franchise that is the Buffalo Bills.

Trent Edwards = worst starting Quarterback in the NFL.

That "you didn't go far" excuse is terrible. Bottom line is, Miami made the playoffs, the Jets didn't. We're better than you, and there's nothing you can about that.

You WERE better than us in the record column last season. Congrats. I hope you really enjoy it. Honestly, I could care less. It isn't an excuse, its a fact. If you are happy with a playoff apperance, so be it. I mean, I guess I can understand seeing as the one before last year was what? 7 years before? Seeing as it was such a long dry spell, I guess I'd be amped about a playoff apperance.

Oh, and welcome to THIS season. Stop living in the past of a year ago.

Nah, you are dead wrong about Trent Edwards being the worst QB in the NFL, he isn't even the worst in his division...not by a long shot

As for your playoff comment 124, not sure I would talk to much about that being a Jests fan :pity:

We were the better team, too.

Lie. You didin't care that Chad went in to the Meadowlands, and won the division? You werent mad when Ginn mossed your corner, and beat the double coverage? And you werent mad when Merling picked of Favre, stiff armed Jones and dove in the endzone?
Please. One of the first signs of overcoming a problem, is admiting denial. You DO care that we won the divison, becuase you honeslty thought you had it all wraped up.
Coming from a guy whose team made to the playoffs 12 times in 50 years...
...compared to Miami's 22 in 44...thats with us not making it past 7 years.

I missed some games? Because as if right now, The Miami Dolphins are the champions of afc east.

That's your opinion. And you're entitled to it. But there's nothing to prove that we wouldn't have won the division even with Brady starting every game. It's not as if they've never lost games with Brady as starter.
In fact since Brady has been starting, we've typically split with the Pats.
