I think it was called In Da House? I meant a movie that followed the setup of the show. Not one that was completely written. But i agree it was pretty funny.

Horrible movie. Had maybe 1 or 2 scenes that made me smile. I was a HUGE fan of his HBO show, so I had high expectations for that film. Luckily he figured out a successful model for Borat and Bruno.

Meh it was ok. Borat was 800 times better. Bruno as a character has never really been funny to me.

Honestly never really had the desire to see this one, but it came on IFC, so I figured "what the hell."

I really enjoyed it. It was an odd movie, to be sure, but it was very funny. In a more cerebral way, I suppose, but funny nonetheless.

Too close to home for you?

Like when there's a satirical character that is handsome, witty, intelligent and well-endowed, I don't find it all that funny. So I thought it might the same for you with Bruno. Feel free to pm the answer.

Saw 'Angels & Demons' at the dollar movie today. Pretty much a whodunit movie with a typical twist at the end, with the Vatican City and Catholicism used for a backdrop. I wouldn't go running to rent this one, IMO.

I saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince last night. Very disappointing movie. I really was not happy when David Yates was asked to reprise his role as director. I had thought that Order of the Phoenix was the worst of the previous 5 and his vision of the books were nothing like the others. In my opinion it was not a one time issue, I don't think he gets the books or how they flow from one to the other. Not really looking forward to the last two movies now that he is involved.

Hmmm..I dont know if they try to make you feel sorry for him, but they show how a violent childhood led to him becoming a heartless psycho path. The dude they got to play him was huge.

The next movie I see will be "The Ugly Truth". My friend co-wrote it. I'll be heading out this weekend to see it and goto the launch party in LA. Im very excited for her, although she's having a hell of a career as it is. Its a dirty-minded romantic comedy starring Gerard Butler(Leonidas from 300) and the girl from Knocked-up and Greys Anatomy.

I saw "The Wrestler". I enjoyed it but it wasn't great. By "great" I mean one that I plan to own and re-watch. I enjoyed "Slumdog Millionaire" more. They're not really similar in any way but for me they were connected b/c I was going to see one or the other on the particular day I went to the theater and I only chose SM b/c it was showing at the more convenient time.

The Horsemen with Dennis Quaid: Wasn't that bad, wasn't that good. Had a great plot, just didnt seem to be directed very well, the ending was very blah. I think I would like to read the book behind this movie for comparison.

Valkrye with Tom Cruise: I liked it, thought it was a decent movie. Not one I will see again probably but it kept me entertained.

The Replacements, funny football movie if you can ignore the blatant disregard to the way the game is actually played. After that was The Waterboy, another chuckler football movie. Yeah, I'm ready for the season to begin alright.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince - It was an ok movie. It seemed a bit slow, and I really felt like not very much was accomplished. I never read the books, so how true it is to the book really doesn't play into my opinion.

Well having never read the books, I find the movies to be entertaining enough to watch. There was just a lot of stuff in this one that seemed to drag out, which I guess is how it is in the book too.

It was a pretty decent flick, and like Jt said, it was cool to see Carey take on not only a dramatic role, but a very dark character. Moreso than his (in)famous Cable Guy (which I happened to have enjoyed).

Knowing -- Not too bad. I was a little surprise at the direction it took, specifically the
blatant religious content and the whole "Yes, he really destroyed the Earth" thing.
Not that there's anything wrong with that. I was just surprised.
