If I had the $ I would just buy the Shelby. Common sense dictates though, if i want a nice Mustang equivalent to the GT 350 or 500. I'm going to get my son in law to take me to the Daytona Auto Auction and I'm going to purchase the nicest 2007 low mileage "white" (preferably GT) Mustang I can find. I now have the foundation to build (clone) a Shelby. Minus the penalty of taking the hit of paying for a new right off the show room floor car. I could probably get by cheaper doing this than I could retromoding a 1963 1/2 Faclon Sprint.
NEVER MIND THE MUSTANG! I'm back to lusting after the Sprint. Themole drools! Marty, your friend had a sweet and FAST ride! We once crammed a HiPo 390 cid into a 64 Sprint. The shock towers had to be altered to get that pig in there though. With no funds available to do the job right, we removed it and put the 260 back in.
