I'm sure someone's posted this before, but I can't seem to find it anywhere on here.

This is from an EA Sports Game Developer's blog. He describes the four main plays in the Miami Wildcat. He shows examples with game footage, motion capture footage (actors in bodysuits in a studio), and actual Madden 10 videos of each play.

It helps make out Wildcat polays clearer, and is also a neat look at how the Wildcat will feature in the new Madden video game, due to release in a little under a month.

Bonus: A video of Pat White throwing for a touchdown in the new Madden game.

Still not wasting anymore money on another Madden game. Years of no competition = a crappy product.

That looks like Eric Mangini's defense.

Looks like it will be pretty cool and other teams besides Miami will have it as well.

Well, I hope they have a play editor in this one... but it doesn;t sound like it. The one year they had that play editor it was AWESOME fun to concoct my own playbook.

I would love to tweak the Wildcat.

For example, I'd love to see a 'heavy' wildcat spread, with Turner, London, Martin and Fasano on the field and Ronnie and White in the backfield. You could still run great behind that blocking, but the passing threat would still be immense.

Yeah, they've been so lazy, but I have to say that this year they seem to have challenged themselves to really advance the game more than they have in several years. I also stopped buying it, but think I'll get this one.

By the way, a downloadable demo comes out July 30th.

Only Cards vs Steelers I think, though.

Actually, the game aside, I really liked how clear that blog made our four promary Wildcat plays. For anyone who isn't clear on the actual Wildcat Playbook, that set of videos gives you a great base.

Of course, we're gonna see a lot of variations this year, (hopefully).

    My main hopes are:

    1) Find a snap-to-snap variation that prevents blitzers timing their rush to Ricky crossing the ball-handlers face at the snap.

    2) Get both White and Ronnie in the backfield together, so there is still dual possibility of a pass or a power inside run.
