Most of us have been saying that for years... You want Ronnie to have a 1000 + yard kind of season... give him the damn ball. Its that simple. The guy is like williams was in his earlier stint with us. If you keep feeding him the ball he's going to wear down the D and just run right over them late in the games. I still feel like we've never given Ronnie enough carries per game.
We did in 2007 before he tore his knee, he was well on his way to a combined yardage season of 2,000 yards. This year he is the healthiest he's ever been, and should have the holes opened up for him by a (hopefully) vastly improved OL. So I agree, just give Ronnie the damned ball!
Ronnie is probably our best all around offensive weapon. We should be giving him the ball 20-25 carries a game. Stop sharing the load with Ricky and make him the real primary back. Ronnie needs to get into that groove. This is the final year of his contract. We really need to see if he can carry the load as a full time RB. So use him. If Ronnie's body can't handle the load at least we know and we have Ricky, Patrick Cobbs and Polite to back him up.
