Passable Stephen King made good by Colm Feore's kickass performance. It made it hard for me to accept him as a good guy in "24" earlier this year.

He put the sin in sinister, that's for sure. The pacing of the movie (or miniseries) is a little rough, those made for TV movies always kill me that way, the story is alright so far, looking forward to finishing it off tonight. But you are 100% spot on about Feore, he's carried the film so far, and all he's done is sit in makeshift jail cell.

I hate seein Stephen stories end up on tv, IT is my fav King book and that miniseries only covered about 1/2 the book and didnt do a good job of it. Once again the only thing that made it worth watching was an actor doin a great job....Pennywise

I never saw it, and doubt I ever will. I loved It and the thought of it being made for TV curdled my stomach. I think SOTC was written exclusively for TV, I don't remember it being a SK short story or novel.

His actors don't help either. Rogan is tolerable, but Jonah Hill and Michael Cera deserve to stay virgins the rest of their lives.

    G.I. Joke......Gawd what a terrible movie.

I just dont know where to start on this one. It was full of action with no purpose so to speak. Even though there was all kinds of action, it was boring. The casting as said prior was horrid. I know in hollywood you only concentrate on the main stars but the main stars didn't hold my attention very well. Wayans is and will never be a good action movie actor. That other dude did ok but he just wasn't IDK...good enough to be the main actor, IMO. The kid from 3rd rock from the sun as Cobra, are you kidding me? Lips on snake eyes costume are as usefull as a vagina on the outside of a nuns outfit, niether of them get used so whats the point???!!!Destro's mask at the end.....terrible, and correct me if I'm wrong...but does anyone remember Destro talking like the Lucky Charm leprechaun? I know its common place for Hollywood to change things like this, to put their personal touches on them, or to make them unique, but everything this director did made me want to punch an old man in the kidney. And when the guy from OZ said "Yo Joe" at the end I can honestly say I wanted Cobra to blow him up.

Finished the Storm of the Century last night. Part two suffered the same way part one did. Terrible pacing that only a miniseries or soap opera can achieve. All in all it wasn't a horrible flick, but I think if it was done for the big screen with an R rating it would have come across better, especially if the pared the time down to 2 hours or so. The ending was kind of predictable as well, all in all I was a bit disappointed.

District 9 - I had been excited about this, as it was being helmed by the one-time Halo team, and had Peter Jackson as a producer. What's amazing to me is the film lived up to my expectations. Absolutely a mind-blowing film, probably the most original science-fiction film I've seen since the first Matrix movie. What's more unbelievable is that it was shot on a 30 million dollar budget. Do yourself a favor and check it out, even if you aren't necessarily a science fiction fan. It was that good. 5/5.

This one intrigued me when I heard of it. What kind of scifi would you class it is? Suspense/thriller type, or more toward horror? Last thing I want is to sit through another Event Horizon lol.
