Yeah, the prison workout probably conditioned him for other things instead.

I can't really say what I would love to see happen to the POS on here, again I might get a little PM from the Mods if I did.:wink2: Let's just say, I wish him nothing but pain for the rest of his life. Some things in life you can forgive, but what he did is unforgivable. I will never forgive him and I do wish him harm. Again, I need to be careful on how much I say about that POS, don't need a another PM.

I hope he decides to help animals and children in need, giving to charity and trying to make the world a better place. If he is miserable that helps absolutely no-one and doesnt change anything that has been done.

i don't. i don't want cheech n chong telling me drugs are bad and to stay away from them and i certainly don't want to see vick with a fake smile telling me to have my pet spade or nuetured today. i'd rather him stay far away from animals and childen.

I'd rather him donate money to charity so that kids dont....you know.....die. Money funds research and it doesnt matter where it comes from.

Are you saying that helping children in need is a bad thing? I really don't get why people would be against this. He doesnt even have to come in contact with them to help.

I'm just saying he's a POS of a human. Children have nothing to do with this.
Do I think he can change? I don't really care. What he did is unforgetable and unforgivable.

I hope he does well in Philadelphia and I hope he really is a changed man.

And I don't know if he should be taking snaps in a Wildcat formation. His ball security issues and frame would make me question whether he can take many hits from linebackers and defense linemen. It'll be interesting to how they use him.

I think you could say the same thing about Pat White. Minus the fumbles maybe (we'll have to see) and being a changed man.

My understanding is that McNabb was one of the people lobbying to bring Vick in. They met at Syracuse when Vick was on a recruiting visit and stayed in contact.

I read some posts on one of the philly boards and there's a bunch of fans hating the idea of him coming there. And hating on him personally.
Just thought I'd tell you guys.

Yeah its a mess around here. McNabb and Laurie had to be convinced on the idea, season ticket holders are threatening to sell their tickets, sports radio shows are filled with callers who are outraged (I'm guessing its probably a 80% against, 20% for) I'm sure there will be protests in 2 weeks when they have their next preseason game here. Its gonna get uglier before it gets better.

It must be awful to be so hated.
But, IMO, people should think before they act. There's always consequences to pay.

wow i was reading it differently then.

if mcnabb and laurie had to be convinced who was for it? joe banner? andy reid?

i'll have to listen to 610 i'm sure it will be talked about.

I've honestly heard both. Reid had to be convinced by McNabb and McNabb had to be convinced by Reid. I've heard more times that McNabb had to be convinced and when you look at a qb whose been injured alot recently and they drafted his replacement last year, I believe that McNabb was the one who had to be convinced.

Then why is it being reported everywhere that Mcnabb was the one that wanted him, and also Andy Reid?

one thing you have to understand about the eagles organization .. and living around here you come to understand it very quickly.. is that they don't really give the media a straight answer from jeffery laurie (the owner) all the way down.

they're all the time backing each other in the shady ways of ambiguity that way no one has to take the fall.

i tend to believe that with mcnabb being injured recently and them having drafted a QB in Kolb recently and now the addition of Vick McNabb has to be somewhat worried and would need more convincing as well FFF.

I don't believe it at all. I think Philthy is the perfect home for the guy. He was gonna get dogged on by fans anyways. Might as well be Philly fans, who will throw a battery at their mother if it might win a game for them.

Honestly I think Vick is a changed person. He is already getting praise from members of the SPCA. I think prison has definitely changed the man, even if it was really only a year.

I think about all that he has lost, and I truly think he is remorseful for what he has done. Not only because of what he has lost, but what it has done to his character and his name reputation.

Also its a great deal for Philly getting a man that physically gifted for only 1.6 million. Even if he cant get back physically to where he was 2 years ago, the 1.6 million gamble is well worth it IMO.

Philly fans are not as bad as everyone makes them out to be.

You don't really know what the stadium is like until you have sat in it. And I have on several occasions. I have also sat in Baltimore's stadium. I've had fans of opposing teams throw stuff at my friends and I and we did nothing to them.

I agree for the terms of the deal it is a good gamble in terms of player and money.

As far as him being changed only time will tell.

Getting accolades for being improved from the SPCA means nothing to me. They kill dogs too.

Well, Philly Fans booing Santa and the jail underneath the stadium sort of gives one clues what it's like anlgp.

I've got to think Reid's boy getting locked up had something to do with taking a huge chance on Mike Vick.

There is a reason that Philly fans have that reputation, whether or not you have sat in the stadium.

And the SPCA might kill dogs, but they do it humanely when the dog is unwanted or unfit for society. When they are put down they aren't tortured.

well i hope chicago cubs fans gain a reputation for throwing beer on opposing players then.

which totally makes sense because humans can play god and decide what is "unfit for society".. who's society? ours? why do we get the say all end all? we are not the only living organism on this planet..

What vick did was awful and disgusting, but the man served his jailtime and playing football is his only job. Really, I am not saying the outrage over him Joining Philly is uncalled for but Vick has done his time and is now a free man. Heck, if you ask me, I'd be more upset having a Ray Lewis or Dante Stallworth on my team...

Some things are just unforgivable. I know he's done 2 years, but he also lied to his boss and he lied to the commish. He will always be a turd in my eyes. Nothing will ever change that.

im not so much against the donation of his money towards these things i just don't want to see him be forcably made a "rolemodel" or the face of anti-animal cruelty. i don't want to see a micheal vick memorial vet hospital built(can't we call it something else?) and used as a "see,he is trying to redeem his wrongs". besides he is not the only multi-million man out there.

    This pisses me off!

On the bottom of the NFLN Program Alert. "Watch Michael Vick and the Eagles take on Sanchez and the Jets. This is not cool. Whether you think he paid his dues or should still be paying, whatever. Now you publicize the guy?

"See the infamous dog killer, in glorious HD, mwaaahaahaha."

I mean, it says vs "Sanchez", the Jets starter. So they didn't word it this way cuz Donovan is sitting this one out. This is Mcnabbs damn team. That guy has put up with more backstabbing ingrates...and for what, 5 NFC championship game appearances? its a joke. this make sme sick. they're marketing the train wreck. the nfl goes "faces of death". and i hate it. i hate that 20% of the players in this league have serious criminal convictions. and this just exploits those ****heads, which could potentially turn a wonderful game into garbage.

He did his time, let it go. He's obviously turned his life around there's no need to dwell on this any longer. Plus they titled it that way because over the last few days i've seen the same interviews over and over on epsn. where both Jets players and the Head Coach say "Number 1 talent and NFL Starter playing extra time against 2's and 3's".

Also 20% have serious criminal convictions????? Theres 32 NFL teams and each is allowed a 53 man roster which means 1696 Players in the NFL. so you're saying roughly 340 players should be in Jail??? Go ahead and name 20 of them let alone 20%.

I hope the Eagles tear Sanchez's head off this game.
