The writers admitted they ran out of ideas around the 18th episode and were struggling with what else to do for the rest of the season. It makes sense and shows as the season did tend to drag around then.
Hate to say it but I think Jack needs to die If this is the last season and with so many near misses in his life, I can see him not making it out of season 8
There are two problems with him dying in my opinion: 1. If he survives, 24 can still do movies, its a big cash cow for Fox and I'd bet even if they made one movie it would make big money, probably pull in 200 milliom just in the US alone (not including DVD sales and overseas). Also who's to say 24 couldn't continue maybe after a year or 2 off, they could come back with another season and have Jack be Head of CTU again only he doesn't go out in the field (or only goes out once or twice since in 24 time he'd be in his 60's), he just runs everything from the office ala Bill did. 2. I think fans will crap on Jack's death if he gets killed from a random bad guy or it's a lame death. The guy has avoided death so many times, he just can't randomly get shot and die it has to be big and by someone that will mean something. In my opinion the best way for Jack to die would have been in a shot out with Tony where they both shot and kill each other. Tony is a built up character since Season 1 and someone the viewers are familiar with. I mean how lame would it be if someone like Jonas Hodges shot and killed Jack, I mean the guy was a cool villian but he really had no connection with the fans. I really do think that they will keep Jack alive just like how Tony Soprano wasn't killed off because the chance for a big pay day in the future is too great.
am i the only one that thinks that Alfonso Roberto would be a perfect cast member for 24? It weird though cause i was watching Remember the Titans and was like Coach Yoast, Will Patton, would be a great character for season 8 as the head of CTU, a week later i see him as the bad guy on 24... And i will say he makes a better villain
Watching it from the beginning; into season 3 now. And I gotta say: Reiko Aylesworth, Elisha Cuthbert, Agnes Bruckner and Vanessa Ferlito all in the same hour is babe overload!
Nice. I always had a thing for Rena Sofer from season 6. That's about the best thing in an otherwise wretched season, and I wouldn't fault you a bit if you just skipped the whole damn thing.
Who's Alfonso Roberto? Do you mean Alfonso Ribiero, just another in a long and distinguished line of folks to be upstaged by Will Smith? (DJ Jazzy Jeff, Jeff Goldblum, Tommy Lee Jones, Kevin Kline...)
Mmm... Well, I won't see her in action because I stopped watching the series. After 3 1/2 seasons, it's just requires too much suspension of disbelief. If any government agency operated that far off the reservation that much of the time...with that many moles and traitors infiltrating it at every turn; if any federal agent's daughter was still THAT insipid, after being kidnapped and nearly murdered, oh - I don't know - 117 times! I don't wanna know about it. In the old country we have a saying that applies to this show - Un paquete... A lie just too big to swallow. Not worth tying up my Netflix queue up with anymore.
Some small news about this season: The writers are currently working on the scripts for the final episodes to be shot in Feb of 2010. They have 3 ideas in mind on how to end the season and the one they use will be determined on whether 24 is picked up for another season and/or if Kiefer signs on to do Season 9. Hopefully they end up filming all 3 endings and put them all on the seasons dvds no matter what happens with the show's future. Also there are some small rumblings on Audrey, she won't be back for this season.
Here's a season 8 spoiler for you all. It's being reported in a few media places now so it probably won't be a spoiler for much longer but if you don't like to know anything don't read on then. It has to do with a returning character. Spoiler Ex-President Charles Logan is coming back towards the end of Season 8 to help President Taylor. He'll be in multiple episodes. Here's the link: http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/11...tner-CNNHome-'24'+scoop:+Ex-prez+coming+back! My thoughts: I loved the Logan character and am excited to see him back. Hopefully it makes sense to bring him back though because after all he is a traitor to the country. And when he came back for Season 6 it was a bit of a let down because of the lame story and also the extra stuff with his e- wife (hopefully she won't be back)
Another 24 tibit (non spoiler) I heard this season starts at 7:00pm. Of course that's subject to change but judging by the promos it looks legit since there are a lot of night time scenes.
id like william devane to show up just to tell someone to spare him their 6th grade michael moore logic lol
