Last night I was a passenger in a car accident. Driver sped up on a turn we ended up losing control on the side and went into a ditch front end first. It flipped the car front to back expelling the driver side passenger out of the vehicle. No they were not wearing seat belts sorry to say.

Anyways car comes to a halt finally i kick open the door and helped my friend out of the vehicle realizing his girlfriend was not in the car i told him to go up to the road to sit and stay. I turned off the car as I smelled smoke. Grabbed my phone from back seat called 911.

I then proceeded to find the girl in the ditch, and she was gone. It was a really bad night but just I'm not much the religious type as I am agnostic. Though her family is one of faith and deserves the prayers that they get through this rough time. That also my friend holds his head up and gets through this tramatic experience.

    The girl was 25.

As for you wondering how I am I am perfectly fine bruised elbow and some bumps but I was the support for my friend last night and will continue to be.

I'm very sorry to hear this bro. Seatbelts.. such a simple thing to do. We just had a twenty year Fireman Lieutenant here run off the road down the street from his home in the rain who died because he was not buckled up. How many bodies has HE seen and still didn't do it himself... No one.. absolutely no one rides in my vehicles without buckling up.

All involved will be in my prayers tonight.

Wow that sucks man to go through a ordeal like that.

    Be strong.

Curious was she thrown from the Vehicle? Did she have her Seatbelt on? It would be awful if she wasn't wearing one.

 nope all good my fault for reading the first sentence then posting.

But not to be a dick about the situation but it could have been prevented or at least gave her a better shot a living.

Terrible situation to be apart of.

This is my 3rd major accident. I know to wear one but many people don't think it will ever happen to them. Its hard for me because i remember every second I had no moment of blackness I told myself I couldn't let myself because I knew my friends would need me to take charge when it was said and done.

Its amazing how many thoughts can go through your head when the accident probably only took like 3-7 seconds at most but felt like a minute or more. I don't live in same state as my family anymore so all i told myself is i can't put my best friend or my family through that grief and i held onto the front seat.

When the girl wasn't in the car I knew i had to get my friend away he couldn't handle it. It's been very long days, not sleeping well.

It is my sincere wish that you find peace quickly brother. I know about the "remembering all the details" thing. I drank myself into oblivian for years running from nightmares and second guessing... it wasn't a solution. Shoot me a pm if you wish to talk, we can exchange phone numbers.

Really sorry to hear all this brother.

We are all here if you need, and I would take Marty (CNC) up on his offer if you feel inclined. You won't find a better person on the planet, and I have heard his life's story in part. A truley remarkable life he has led

Sorry to hear and RIP to the girl.

Part of the problem is that we design roads to encourage as much speed as possible.

Im fine for time being just sore, mentally i don't really have many issues. This is because I did everything I had to after the accident. I held my head up and did what needed to be done, not much more could of been asked from me.

Sorry to hear. RIP to the girl.

I dont always have my seat belt on at first, but end up always putting it on.

Its my grandma the one that never wants to. We try to convince her, but she doesent care. She says its too tight and since the laws are different where were from, she doesent think theyre going to give us a ticket, but something bad can still happen.

I have never been part of a big crash, but my dad crashed into an ambulance once, it wasnt his fault, but they still took him to jail while the person recuperated.

Again, glad to hear you're fine and RIP to the girl

My thoughts and prayers are with the girls family, your friend and, of course, you.
You hang on. It will take time, but you'll feel better about things.
As Kenny said, Marty is one of the best if you need someone to talk to.
    God bless you.

Sorry to hear that m8 , hope you and your friend are ok. I would suggest that if they offer any sort of grief counselling that you take it , having anyone to talk to about how you feel is a lot easier then bottling everything up.

Wow bro, I am sorry you went through that, and all my prayers for your friend in this harsh time. Another cautionary tale for seat belts, I was involved in a rollover accident at the age of 18 and suffered not a scratch (nor did my girlfriend) because we had our seat belts on. I've been a proponent ever since and I will not move the car unless my passengers have theirs on.

Just wanted to give a update things are going ok, finally getting caught up on rent from time i missed from work and such. Landlord has been really cool about it and work eh not really but its fine.

Though good news aside. My friend is being charged for manslaughter by the state not the family. The family didn't even know state pushed the charge. They are trying to pin driving under the influence on him which is complete b.s i was with him the whole time after work and we got off same time. I will possibly have to attend court sometime in near future, and hoping the best for him.

Just wanted to update you all.
