    It's not even a rumor.

It's someone asking Mike if the Dolphins would be interested in trading for him. The obvious answer is 'no'.

This regime doesn't like celebrity QB's, much less receivers. And this guy already had the 'aloof' tag in college. Now we're staring at the prospect of him re-entering the draft because he and his agent are insane.

That's another thing this regime doesn't do: holdouts.

You think Eugene Parker would pull this **** on Parcells? Hell no.

I don't want Brandon Marshall, but I would trade a 1 for him before trading anything close to that for Crabtree.

Yeah, seems to be working out pretty damn good for the 49ers right now.

The guy is proving to be a grade- Schmuck. Let's not forget, he didn't do very well in the combine.....oh wait.....but he still comes in with his prima dona demands?

He's LUCKY we didn't draft him. Ireland and Parcells would already have he and his agent in tears.

Furthermore, I am offended you took Greg to task. All he did was help clarify what was actually going on
Whether on purpose or not, the thread title was mis-leading

I see where you're coming from, but to me and this is just my opinion...a rumor/speculation comes from something written/said in the media, not from a question a fan posted to a writer...

No big deal, but right off the bat folks were thinking that this came from a 'source' rather than just a posed question to a writer...

I actually wasn't trying to bait anyone, to be honest. I don't know why I didn't explain it in my initial post but its because he has no work ethic and the fact that he's missed so much time already despite being an incredibly raw player is pathetic. I loathe lazy players.

His lack of dedication is what concerns me. You call it laziness ... I see it in the way he runs routes.

He reminds me a lot of another high-profile WR who tried to just get by on athletic ability, and didn't invest much else into getting better ... Charles Rogers.

Crabtree is too busy getting camera time to pout and call out his quarterback. Seriously, how is he going to call out his quarterback when he's not even on the team yet? The same goes for the knocking of the balls down at practices. Days after he got drafted, he stated he wanted top three money. What kind of crap is that?

And he wants to get paid? Well, the 49ers offered very similar money that BJ Raji got and him and his agent said "no".

As for him knowing he's better than DHB, that's a load of crap IMO. If he had any desire to prove he was better than DHB, he'd have his contract signed and be working his *** off.

    Completely disagree.

What exactly has he done for the 49ers to determine he can hold them hostage?
Its not their fault he got picked where he did. He didn't have a good combime, oh wait, he didn't have a combine.

He needs to get off his Diva Thrown, prove it for a year or two, then restrucure....See Larry Fitzgerald if you need an example of the CORRECT way to do business

Funniest thing. He is gonna end up not signing, then go 10-30 spots lower next year and end up with a portion of what the 49ers have laid out on the table.

Honestly, I didn't even have him as the best player at his position but my thoughts on his game are moot because I'm not the one making the pick. If Crabtree had it his way, he'd be a number one overall pick and be collecting 40M guaranteed to go with 10M a year. Problem is, he's not the top pick nor is he going to be making that money in his first contract. He needs a reality check.

He's lucky that Dez Bryant didn't come out this year IMO. If he did, Crabtree would drop some more IMO.

Michael Crabtree is a major talent. He would help a team win as much as any WR would.

If - and only if - he agreed to fire his agent, express remorse for allowing this to get so out of hand, and sign for his slotted amount, I would trade for him in a heartbeat.

Then again, if he agreed to all that, why wouldn't SF sign him?

Maybe he has a hard-on for SF, a la John Elway - Bob Irsay.

He's got to get more consistent hands and better route running though. I at least like what I've seen so far though. I like how he's taking on Nnamdi Asomugha every day in practice and after the first day in which he gave his routes away with his eyes, he didn't do it anymore after Asomugha pointed it out.

The NFL is blowing it by not instituting a rookie pay scale. That would end all this crap.

IMO if they insist on not putting one in then they should crack down on renegade agents who arent acting in a players best interest. This kind of thing is just stupid.

Well hell, even Davis has to have the odds line up once a decade or so. That would make 2 good players on the team with Nnamdi lol. :hi5:
