Jason Allen lives another year. Should be interesting to watch him.

 

Jason Allen better step it up.

 

Joey Thomas will land on an NFL roster imho.

Rod Hood was signed, waved, signed waved, already this offseason, and Thomas was solid all preseason but you cannot keep everyone.

 

To be fair, I believe, that Sparano believes, that Allen will, and he has played... with a method this Pre-season.

 

To me, Sparano has seen what Allen can do well, namely play Special Teams and be a fast big body in nickel and dime situations.

JA has measurables out the yingyang, it's the football part that trips him up like those sprinters (besides Bullet Bob Hayes) who try to play in the NFL.

 

He will still be the go to guy when opposing offenses need 10yds Adamp, until JA proves he can stop that consistently, he needs some abestos shoulder pads..

 

the PBP misread that play in the endzone btw, Allen was in position and the Wr was trying to push off and catch the ball at the same time and Allen just played it well.

 

Will Billingsley cut as well, he was the one Db who really was not very good for us.

While it might be a big surprise to Edgar I saw this coming. Berger can play G and Murphy is a G. I think this clearly means that either Garner or Gardner made the team. I could see Miami sticking Andrew Gardner in the team similiar to how the did last year Murphy and try changing his body, but I really hope they keep Nate Garner who has looked solid during preseason and did not give up any sacks.

 

When do we have to get down to 53? Isn't it today?

I'd like to see Gardner turn into another Murphy or even Thomas, kid has a lot of upside IMO. I would also like to see them keep enough OL to hang on to Garner, he played very well this preseason as you said.

 

A little bit of a surprise there. Figured we'd keep him for depth.

Damn I really liked him. Maybe he will make the PS but I have my doubts.

Glad to see Jason Allen make it, he may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but you gotta like his work ethic and attitude. And his measurables are solid, especially on ST's.

 

DOnt know if hes eligible for the PS. Too bad, I liked him as well. Its a particularly interesting decision given that it looks like we wont keep more than 3-4 ILB's maximum.

 

Sorry to see that, I liked his play. And we can't put him on the PS? That sucks.

Ricky...be nice buddy...I'm not upset that Billingsley is gone, I didn't think much of him, but geez...be nice about it...No one likes to lose a job, especially in these times...

Hate to see London go, had high hopes for him. Roth is no surprise to any of us, still a mystery what the injury is or the seriousness of it. Does that open up a spot on the 53 man roster, for at least the 6 weeks he has to be on PUP? I assume so.

edit: i wish we had the power to change the title of a thread and/or delete our own threads. I saw the title of an article say that Roth was on reserve. that made me think of IR. i should have read it before posting it. lol.

 

he was put on the pup list, not IR.

 

my bad. the title of the article said he was placed on reserve. it was an honest mistake.

 

1) Surprised we couldn;t get a 7th for London

2) I have blamed Bonamego for the Special Teams struggling, but if Sparano makes roster choices like this it doesn't help Bono. Choosing to keep Turner, not a big STs contributer, oiver London who plays WR AND is good on STs, doesn't help our coverage units.

That said I saw London miss a tackle on STs this preseason. Maybe he missed a few?

 

i'm sure he's got a college degree. And/Or some other team will pick him up. Get real. were you sad when we got rid of people like joey harrington, cleo lemon, john beck, ernest wilford, ect???? i sure wasn't. It's part of life. They can either let it get them down and have a downward spiral into depression or they can do the right thing and be a man and motivate themselves to not be in this situation again by making themselves indispensable to other teams.
If i lost my job i would work at mcdonalds until something better came along. just like i'm sure mr. billingsley can work for the lions.
