No way pryor pulls this off. I haven't seen him play much but the guy seems seriously overhyped. Next time don't give me hope dammit! I can't take this pain lol Posted via Mobile Device
Tressel is seriously the most overrated coach. High school teams execute the 2 minute offense better than that. For once I was actually going for Ohio State and they disappoint.
I feel so sick right now. With about 4 mins left I was feeling good. "about time" I thought. I should have known the defense would collapse after playing very good up until the final 11 plays. I blame this loss o Tressel with his horrible decision to throw twice instead of going into halftime with a 10-7 lead. Also I hate how Tressel plays not to lose. FML I CANT STAND THIS COACHING STAFF ANYMORE.
How to manage 4th and short for dummies: PETE CARROL ---> 4th and Goal at OSU 2 Stafon Johnson rush for 2 yards for a TOUCHDOWN. JIM TRESSEL ---> 4th and Goal at USC 1 Aaron Pettrey 18 yard field goal GOOD. PETE CARROL ---> 4th and 1 at USC 49 Matt Barkley rush for 3 yards to the OhSt 48 for a 1ST down. PETE CARROL ---> 4th and 1 at OSU 28 Matt Barkley rush for 1 yard to the OhSt 27 for a 1ST down. JIM TRESSEL ---> 4th and 1 at USC 40 OHIO ST penalty 5 yard delay of game accepted. WHAT THE **** IS WRONG WITH TRESSEL!!!!! HIS CONSERVATIVE *** COST US THE ****ING GAME!!!!
last years loss to Texas was the last straw for me. Tressel is a bum! Its his fault we lost tonight. He had no balls on 4th and short, meanwhile the Trojans convert every short yardage play against us and use it to win. Not to mention that the Trojans were ready and prepared in running the 2 minute offense at the end of both halves, and we had the exact same opportunities and failed miserably. Tressel needs to be fired. He is riding off the talent of our recruits, and is holding us back.
Sorry Maj I know this one hurt. Pryor is clearly not a QB and needs to be moved to WR where he would tear it up. Big Ten looks weak tho so u guys still have a chance
Oh Pryor...why have you not evolved? Your running looks as if it took a step back and your passing ability still remains marginal. but if your going to have a big fast running QB who cant pass....then why the FU-K cant you sneak him up the middle on 4th and short? I mean he is Vince Young right?
Almost the entire game the safety would line up 15 yards off of the slot WR and yet we never threw the ball there. Someone on the team has to see this, I can't be the only one I'm just not that smart. Pryor can't throw for damn and seems scared to run at times. He is the most overrated player in the country, closely followed by Joe McKnight.
Joe McKnight is a pretty good player IMO. He's similar to Reggie Bush though, which is why he'll probably never be a full-time back. I think Pryor and Barkley are overrated. On that last drive, the commentators were gushing over Barkley and how its a big step in his career. You'd think that Barkley called his own plays, completed ten passes and won the game for USC if you didn't watch that game but the guy threw a pass to the tight end and a screen pass to Joe McKnight. They make it sound like he's Peyton Manning.
Hes a freshman QB for a major program of course they're going to gush over him. I agree though I wasn't that impressed. As for McKnight I haven't watched him much but all I ever heard was how explosive he was and last night he looked kinda sluggish to me. Up until the last drive where he had 2 key plays. I might of just been expecting more from him since everyone told me he'll have 150 yards and we'll get blown out by 21.
Yeah I think McKnight started slow but he looked good later on, especially that last drive. Very quick, has some good vision and he's got good acceleration. I like him. Its just tough for him to get exposure when he has two or three other backs that may be equally talented.
Forcier and Barkley seem like better QBs at this point than Pryor. I know they are not in the same year of school, but I would take Aaron Opelt right now 10 times out of 10 over Pryor.
Surprised that USC earned a first place vote after this game. I guess some look at it as winning a tough game on the road with a freshman QB, but IMO it proved that neither one of these teams are quite as good as the preseason hype.
Ohio State was/is only going to be as good as Pryor. ...and right now that doesnt look all that great. Going 10-2 and losing in bowl games is getting old quick.
Well with JT running the show we will never be good. Seeing how JT plays not to win but to hold on to any kind of lead.
