We would also be talking about a win if on 4th and 1 in the second quarter near the end when we kicked a FG and went up 10-7. If we woulda just went for the first down, with how we were running we woulda got it. That in turn woulda stopped the Colts from tying the game before halftime and we prob woulda got a touchdown. Hence it woulda been a 7 point difference. Now looking at the final score and adding 7 points that woulda been a win. So we wouldn't even have been in this situation.
lol way to stretch that out as far as possible. he dropped the ball. pure and simple. in his hands. not the finger tips, not a tough catch. clean in his hands. dropped.
Yeah. its all ginns fault we lost. he catches 11 balls for over 100 yards and its all his fault because he didnt catch that TD. But Girbril Wilson can singlehandedly ruin the entire game and half of the people bashing Ginn in this thread wont call him out for the 3 TOUCHDOWNS that blew past him and onto the scoreboard.
Cool, ball placement never plays a factor, or whether or not someone gets hit by a guy running full stride while his arms are extended. Glad I know the rules now.
right. and other receivers make those catches, ginn too....but not when it counts. but keep defending him to the very last day dude. he'll never be anything for this team but a commodity on reverses and a threat deep although never doing anything.........woot! tedd ginn #1
Maybe the league will convert those 3rd down conversions into points and give Miami the win after all... The coaching got too conservative late as well.
Ginn makes plays when he's open..... That pass in the end zone is not the sort of play he excels at. And Chad Penning throwing a jump ball to Ted Ginn is a very low percentage play to begin with.
WTF? He should've caught it, I said that. But that was a tough catch. He had a guy pulling on him, and he was fully extended, jumping. Those are not easy catches.
I am impressed with Ginn, he got open tonight. Now he needs to make the big plays, he is taking steps. But this loss is not just on his drop. We had a chance to win this game in the 2nd quarter.
Rewatch it. The CB had a armful of jersey before the ball gets there. I'm serious, re-watch it.Anyone with TIVO can put this up on the screen?
2 things. Suck probably is a bit harsh when describing Ginn. He is average at best, and complete bust based on how far we reached to draft him. I said when we drafted him he would be a bust and I never waivered in that belief. He's not clutch, can't run a good route, can't return kicks and drops alot of balls.......wait, maybe he does suck. But this game was lost by the defense, not Ginn. The offense controled the game all night and the defense couldn't make one stop. Not one. The pass rush wasn't good enough, we can't cover anybody and good gawd someone please make a friggin tackle. I'm starting to fear a top 7 pick is in our near future.
excuses, excuses, excuses 23 + 14 = 37 and a win Ginn's mediocre at best Hope he is replaced and quick
no excuses made. he didnt catch it. but the entire game is not on him. HE is the reason we were even in a position to throw to the endzone. HE is the reason we stayed on teh field for as long as we did. Calling for his head because he didnt bail our defense out is unfair. It would be fair to criticise him, but to BLAME him for the loss is effing BS.
Yes I will, Gibril Wilson sucks. But Ginn blew it big time. Sorry. He just did. They are staring at 0-3 now.
not only that, but he does not have football speed. he is great in a t-shirt and shorts running on a stopwatch, but not so good with other people on the field who might, you know, hit him.
I could give a **** about fair. He makes a lot of money to make those catches. Screw fair. It is partly his fault. He had the win in his hands. Players making plays is what ultimately wins games. They had a chance to win despite the defensive collapse. Ginn blew it when it counted the most. He couldn't finish that drive.
This loss falls on coaching and defense why were we playing for FGs? why is no one running to the line in the two minute drill?
fair enough. The whole team failed in the waning moments of the game. The fact is we lack playmakers on both sides of the field. We can compete but thats about it. Our team has a ceiling and its not too high.
That's really not how it works... If you change two plays, it doesn't mean that every other play, playcall, etc. will be the same.
yes. and that defender WAS there way early. that was a pretty crappy no-call. he was interfered. we need to use ginn like philly uses desean jackson. get his *** back on kick-off and punts. let him try to make plays. but he's not a goto WR. he's the guy who springs 85 yard dump passes or 60 yard slants.
Let someone air the ball you to you and I'll tug back on your right arm. We'll see if physics agree with your bull**** "if it touches the hands" logic.
He ran great routes all f'in game. Based on accounts of people at the ATL game he was getting open consistently there too.
ya know what I changed my mind. It's Pennington's fault. The 3 touchdowns that hit Fasano and Ginn squarely in their hands where terribly thrown balls. We need a new quarterback
IF we have another Safety playing other than WIlson, this game is ours. On the other hand, without Ginn, we dont even come close to winning this game. He moved the chains when needed. Wilson, not only allowed all 3 touchdowns, or had a major role in them, he also dropped the gift INT... And lets not forget Crowder. Plain and simple, OUR team deserved this game, and 2 of 3 players made no positive contributions, but 1 did.
His route running is average. But it really doesn't matter if you can't catch the football when it matters.
