Your arm is a pretty big deal when you are trying to go up for a catch actually, go figure.

People dont seem to understand that if Ginn wasnt in the game, there would not have been a pass at the end of the game for Ginn to drop.

The game is on the defense for allowing Dallas Clark to make getting 183 receiving yards seem easy and our playcalling for being waaay to conservative.

Should Ginn have caught the ball? yes. But to say he sucks and deserves to be cut? Thats just ridiculous, he had 100 yards receiving, a good game by any measure

That one was much worse than the one at the end of the game IMO.

Funny how you assume i dont feel ginn was at fault also, but then again with your blinders on i would figure as much.

Bottom line that you and many others don't want to read and just take the easy blame. 4th and 1 with like under a minute in the second, we take the FG instead of going for it and getting a TD. So we get 3 from the FG and give the ball to the Colts. Now they get into FG range and tie the game up. If we go for it and get a TD its a 7 point difference since they wont have time to score. If we don't and still kick the FG, they still won't have time to score. Giving us more momentum going into the second half.

Did Ginns drop hurt us? Yes, did the defense hurt us? Yes. But there were many plays that hurt us.

I know that drop was pretty bad but you guys make it sound like it was all ginns fault....I mean whos to tell that if we score with like 25+ seconds left the defense doesn't come out and give up another big play......we lose as a team, don't point fingers

    I know.

Really it's Pennington's fault. I believe the one ball Ginn dropped had a backward spiral on it. The physics of the throw were all wrong and caused Ginn to think his hands were a lot longer then they really are.

    Funny how those physics work:wink2:

are you a wide receivers coach? did you have time to dissect Ginn's route running for this game? He was open all game long, now maybe Indy just decided to leave Ginn open as a gift to the Miami Dolphins, but i am more inclined to believe he was running good routes to get open.

I bet that if Mike Crabtree was signed today and played tonight, he would have caught those 2 TD's passes.

So the ball ended up hitting the back of his hand which is why he didn't catch it. The ball didn't get to his palms.

Ginn slowed up a little on the first play. Pennington throiwing it a little lower then it is a touchdown.

Same with Fasano. He throws the ball a little to the right it is a touchdown.

he also missed a wide open Fasano on the missed field goal drive.

you know this offense as well as i do. he will be a ghost for 3 weeks now. they pick and choose who has a good game offensivley. look at fasano last year. 3 straight awesome games, then no where to be seen. the fact is he SHOULD get open he should make catches and he should catch touchdown passes when his number is called.....its his job. what hes paid to do.

like chris rock says "you want a cookie? its what your supposed to do"

nice. but to not put some blame....i didnt say all. some blame on him for dropping 2 sure touchdowns when we needed it most from our "#1 WR" out "#9 over all pick" then thats ballhugging. put down the glasses and be honest for once. i didnt say he sucks, i posted in someone elses thread. he sucked on those 2 catches. he didnt come through. like he should.

he deserves to get some negativity, some people defend him like he is their ****in child.

or some people watch the game of football and understand that things happen.

I am willing to put the first drop on him, the 2nd drop should of been a penalty.

    Lets not leave out Coach

That was the worst 2 minute drill I have ever seen

Look I really don't care who is to blame. They are all to blame because they could have all stepped it up a bit. Where was JT....a non factor. Gabrial Wilson should be given his walking papers after that performance. There were key things that happened in the game that were highlighted. Unfortunately for Ginn 2 drops in the end zone doesn't sit well with a lot of people. It's only a part of what went wrong.

I know that our Defense played very bad, but we still had a chance to win and if a certain receiver wearing #19 could have caught just 1 of the 2 TD's passes, we would of had a better chance of winning.
We can start blaming the kicker for missing a 50 yard FG:tongue2:

I just don't see how saying the second one wasn't Ginns fault is "defending" him, when I said pretty clearly before the first one was all his fault. The defender had a hand full of jersey as he jumped and moved his arm....I wouldnt expect him to catch it.

he should have caught that pass, both of them should have caught those passes.
he catches that pass and he's a hero no one would ever say **** about him.

but he drops the pass and he's still the pariah.

we shouldnt have been in that situation to begin with, we had the Colts by the ****ing **** and failed to execute.

    Yes our defense was pathetic.

The big problem with Ginn, in addition to his catches was the little things...all night. On the final drive, he catches the ball near the sideline, without anyone within 5 yards, he bolts to the sideline and actually runs away from no one, getting out of bounds and giving up the first down!

Every catch over the middle he went down immediately, seemingly afraid of getting hit. He doesn't play with toughness or with football sense.

Same problem with our safeties. They weren't fast enough to close on quick receivers or big and strong enough to take down Clark or Brown.

Pennington, while not the greatest quarterback in the league played above his ability.

Coaching, I'm still on the fence. Yeah, the team seemed unprepared to handle a 2 minute drill. At the same time, having the guts to run the wildcat and commit to it, I think the coaching staff and management are getting a bunch of under achievers to stay in the game.

So when a guy gets hit in the hands with the winning touchdown...he better just catch it.

I didn't think the first missed td was a drop. It was thrown out of his reach. The second he should have caught...but it also should have been PI. Fasano dropped one. Carpenter missed a field goal that forces us into having to go for a td at the end instead of another field goal to win it. The defense sucked bad. Wilson is TERRIBLE. We could habe used Wake out there rushing the passer, too.

He's Chad Pennington. :lol:i mean i hate to say it but that's just how he is. it takes less than 20 seconds on the clock and to be down by a score for him to finally make a deep throw.

Here is my post to the other thread. I argue with logic and don't blame it on the scapegoat.

Happy to debate you as long as you don't feel hurt.

Not sure how a catches guarantees a win what it does guarantees is a chance at winning. There is a difference between the 2 however there was bigger deciding factors in the game. Like what happened to the defense? Why were we so conservative down near the goaline? Why did we burn 68 seconds on 2 plays that gained 3 yards in the 2 min offense?

Its easy to put blame on Ginn as he hasn't lived up to expectations. He certainly doesn't live up to his draft position but he is doing the best out of the Wideouts. I didn't see anyone else step up I saw CP actually looking for Ted Ginn the whole game and what we saw was a 10 catch 100 yard game for Ginn.

Honestly I don't know how people can blame the whole loss on Ginn that isn't fair and I can tell you everyone on that team would agree that Ginn isn't to blame.

Tough loss I know my heart feels like it was ripped out.

If you guys are going to have a knee jerk reaction, then the least you could do is know where to put your knee. The correct location is in Gibril Wilson's face. Ginn didnt score the game winning touchdown, and that sucks BIG TIME. But there were many much bigger mistakes in this game than Ginn dropping a moderately diffucult catch. How about Gibril Wilson giving the Colts 21 points. Channing Crowder not being able to cover anything. Dan Henning calling two runs to start our game losing drive and then Pennington calling timeout after 30 seconds ticked off the clock. All of our timeouts were wasted completely. Or Pennington checking to a QB sneak which wasted both time and a down on the next set. There were far too many HUGE errors to point the finger at Ginn for not catching the game winner. If this loss wasn't solely on Gibril Wilson, then is was a collective loss of many. It certainely wasnt solely on the guy who caught 11 passes.

If Ginn doesn't get out of bounds then people are bagging on him for being stupid and not getting out of bounds to stop the clock. You guys are ridiculous.

(HUGS ME AND LEAVES to go to bed)

(by ALIVE he means I didnt have a heart attack as a result of this debacle and am still alive hes not talking about the teams playoff chances )
