All the Blockbusters in my area are closing and selling all they're inventory dirt cheap.

    Anyone else get any deals?

Mine yesterday didn't have deals on games, but blu rays (used) were 2 for $25 which was nice.

Figured this was coming, Netflix must've chomped a huge bite from their revenue.

Red Box was a huge factor as well.

I think my late fees alone paid for their advertising for years. My fault they're gone.

Yeah, that's what I was gonna mention

I have an elephants memory. I remember when they were the only game in town, they would do everything possible to screw you.

They had a decent video by mail service but when the store down the road closed it wasn't worth it anymore because I lost the swap at the store option. I love netflix now, you can't beat that Xbox streaming option.

OnDemand (especially if you have kids) and Netflix are just too convenient for me to make a trip to Blockbuster. It's no surprise they're closing stores.

    I second that.

It's not going to be much longer before ALL video rental stores are a thing of the past.

I don't see the CD ever going totally away, it better not. If vinyl can survivethe digital era the compact disc will as well. Sure, downloading is easier and free. For me, there is nothing better then picking up a CD the day it comes out.
