Are you really trying to argue your point based on a modest rookie year, in which he was obviously unrefined in route running, had worse QBs than CP, and was the #3 WR for 1/3rd of the season? His ability as a NFL WR from his rookie year to now is definitely night and day.

My arguments are that Ginn is the one to blame for his lack of production not Pennington's, I doubt this guy is getting so wide open down the field I seriously doubt his ability to run crisp patterns to do it, so basically what I think is it doesn't matter who the qb is because the Ginn fans will always find someone else to blame.

or the ginn non fans will always find some way to make every qb into a godsend for ginn??

he's already shown this year he can run crisp patterns. even the coaching staff has mentioned it. and again he had 100+ yards, how is that not productive?

    Gladly.

To say that he has done nothing after an 11 catch 108 yard performance doesn't seem completely truthful.

He also converted a 4th and 10 as well. Those 7 conversions are kind of a big deal when it comes to putting together drives.

To say that he choked implies that you know that he didn't make the play because he felt pressure. It's possible that he just didn't make the play. If a kicker misses a kick in the 3rd quarter it's just a miss but if he misses one in the 4th then suddenly he choked? I've never agreed with that logic.

Please explain the other times that he has choked. Also you are telling us that he will choke in the future as well? One game doesn't suddenly make a trend.

I think you meant he has one 100 yard receiving game in his career because I would say week 17 last year, where he made two HUGE catches, was kind of a standout performance.

Is this what you think or what you want? The staff clearly thinks he is our best receiver since he plays more than any other receiver on the staff.

It's ok to have a biased opinion; it's your prerogative but don't say that it is truthful because it's not.

    I am absolutely awe struck ....I retract my comment....oh wait a minute 2 games in 3 years.......NOT

wow......finally he has done what he is PAID to do

    I agree with that

refer to your other comment about 11 for 108. You said it not me

You talking about the jets game..........Thats all you got 2 catches???

Soon as we trade pennington.......maybe Ginn will come into his own, noodle arm and all

the excuses are unbelievable.....talk about biased. Turn on the defrosters and take a real good look.......you will see the light

Only because you disagree. Lets discuss further.......

Hardly 3 years (or 2 games, IMO, but that is a different argument). We're up to game 3 of year 3. You can say it's been 3 years as soon as it actually has.

As for the jets game, yes 2 catches. 2 catches that got him almost twice as many yards as the next closest receiver, and accounted for over 1/3rd of our entire passing yards (an most importantly 1/4th of our pts).

Gee just think....he could be all world if he would have caught the 2 touch downs that hit him squarely in the hands and.................he dropped

That would have been an amazing achievement a 100% improvement and doubling of his stats :shifty:

They weren't drops statistically speaking, and it wouldn't have made him all world (he'd still be far from itl). Also the 2nd one didn't hit him squarely in the hands, though I agree he should've caught both.

I don't know about 100% improvement, considering a % of something like that is near impossible to gauge, nor would it have doubled any of his stats.

    End of discussion.

Why do a lot of our fellow dolphins fans blame Tedd Ginn's inabilities on Chad Pennington?????

Chad Pennington has nothing to do with running routes and getting open

Some act as if we had a different QB Ginn would be a different player

News flash.......no team now or ever in the past lined up a speedy receiver and just chucked the ball 50 -60 yards on every play. they would be lucky to do it 1 maybe 2 times a game

    We are no different

Because Ginn's skill set doesn't mesh well with Pennington's style.

Yes he would do alot better on a team that throws it vertically often. Ginn shows he can get separation downfield its just Pennington doesn't want to take that risk.

You have to be quite foolish to think Ginn wouldn't be putting up bigger numbers if he had a QB like Brady, Manning(either one), Romo, Garrad, Rivers, and the list goes on and on.

He does get open, ecspecially downfield he has learned to come back to the WR and get the ball (Jets/Bills gms) becuase the steps he had on the defenders were irrelevant because the ball was underthrown.

For the record I would trade 10 Penningtons for 1 Palmer in a heartbeat.

wow........you really like him. I can't say either way other then to look up stats and what other people think. So in the interest of having a honest conversation, i won't regurgitate what others think to you. Have you been fortunate to be able to see him play a lot???

Carson Palmer is a prototype QB who can make ANY throw on the field. And yes living an hour and a half away from the natti Ive sen him play alot.

He is just getting zero protection, and neither is Penny.

I dont dislike Penny but there is no comparison IMO.

I went to the Atlanta/Miami game with Rickyneverinhaled. We had 50 yard line seats 35 rows up. Couldn't have been better in my opinion. We watched several key players. I in particular watched Ginn as much as possible. He is very fast.....but not that fast because Pat White over threw him on the CAT play. He was for the most part open on almost every play. But so was Bess Carmillo, Fasano, hartline and others. Not sure if he was open enough to throw him the ball though. Plus you gotta be open when Pennington is looking .......or.......

Run plays his blocking was terrible. He ran a lot of go routes with almost no success. I wouldn't really call it success. It was more just bla, a non factor if you will. But that was the case with the other receivers as well, non factors

    The story of the dolphins

I have heard others speak highly of Palmer as well. In fact I remember when he was drafted......some considered him the one in 20 -30 year players

So...on the one hand you say he sucks, and say that having a QB with a better arm wouldn't change his production...then you say that he was open downfield alot...hmmmmmmmm...

    Ginn played today?

I can't explain last Ginn's production against Indy. However, since Camarillo's injury last season, this team's "go to" receiver seems to be Davone Bess.

Is Patrick Turner just a younger version of Ernest Wilford? Has he played at all?

It was good to see Jason Taylor back on the field for a couple of plays after missing last weeks game.
