Couple things, the front office can only address so many things at a time. This past off season they chose to address the CB position. IMO, Davis and Smith are going to be fixtures of our defense for years to come. They botth appear to be players.

    Wake played today.

Were I do fault the F.O. is for drafting Pat White. We needed way too many things to waste a pick on a luxury player.

The reality is...Henne will be our Qb next week, Ginn well be our #1 Wr next week and Sparano will go bald over the hand he has been dealt.

D stepped up, the ST unit stepped up, Henne threw a pick 6 and Ginn still cannot catch a goddamed cold...

It is what it is, Sparano is screwed, Henne must man up and Ginn is a #3 Wr now

We needed to be agressive in free agency and IMHO we were not.

Ray Lewis was available, there's no limits on signing free agents. Let Crowder walk, sign a hall of famer who still makes more plays than any LB the Dolphins have, and draft one instead of Pat White. Pat White looks like a luxury pick right now on a team that could ill afford one.

So did Chad till Ronnie fumbled. The issues are much more than QB.

You're right. I thought the D was plenty good enough to win. Sure Ronnie made a mistake but he is one of the few playmakers we have so I can forgive him for that one mistake. He also is what makes the wildcat an effective running formation.

All the other weaknesses you mentioned are valid and Eric Green and Gibril Wilson have been horrible decisions. But Vontae and Sean especially Sean I think have turned out to be pretty decent. Decent players on a so far crappy team.

I think the biggest disappointments to me are Ginn and our overall passing game. This guy drives me nuts. He never makes the big play. When the big play is tossed his way he's either not close enough to make the catch, can't hold onto it or if he does make a catch he wussies out and never goes for the extra yard. Look back over the last 3 games and think if we had a quality wide out who makes those catches we're probably 2-1 i think.

It's not all Ginn. Pennington has been dinking and dunking as usual, Fasano has been worse than expected and Camarillo and Bess aren't getting the ball enough. Our passing game is really, really bad. Our running game is good but it's not enough to compensate for our very obvious weaknesses.

I think it's time to bring in Henne and White full time. I think the rest of the year should be one long full contact training camp. Time to test the crap out of everything so we know what we need going into the draft. It's early in the season but going 0-3 and looking as pathetic as we are I think it's time to do something drastic and prepare for the future.

At this level of play muscle, that fumble can be the difference between winning and losing, Ronnie B fumbled in the first qtr though, we had 3 other qtrs of futlility to cover for his error.

Hell, a Henne pass would have erased a Ronnie Brown TD anyway.,

Pennington's first pass was thrown 50 or 60 yards down the field so lets please put that 'Ginn only sucks because Chad can only dink and dunk' stuff to rest. He overthrew Ginn, I guess that blows every theory about Ginn not doing well because Chad can't take advantage of his speed out the window. Why they don't call the play more I don't know, but we saw the man throw it far enough. Henne checked down as much as Pennington if not more.

One thing I noticed that bothered me on offense is that even on passing plays, nearly all the receivers have been running 5-10 yard curl routes. It was only a matter of time before someone jumped one (even if it was still Penny in there).

also, it may have been pointed out but what's the deal with Henne's 'spin around' move?

I agree, I'm just saying that you can forgive an occassional mistake when a player busts their butt and makes plays for you and moves the chains for you all the time. There is no runningback who doesn't fumble from time to time.

oh i agree but the argument seems to be that somehow henne was supposed to be eli manning out there. its his first meaningful game. he bounced back nicely after the pick six. seemed to get more comfortable with every possession.

LOL, I was wondering the same thing, I think it's double screen option play 2 backs going out. It looks silly though. Listen I for one was calling for a look at Henne. Pennigton is serviceable, and he should be commended for what he helped this team accomplish last year.

We threw a slant pass for the first time in god knows how long (granted it was knocked down) still, those are the limitations that you have with CP in the game.

I did notice that Henne stared down Bess on the 4th down play, Bess caught the pass, but Henne is still stairing down receivers.

Dude threw 3 players off him and bought extra time, give him a few weeks.

As for those of us saying Parcells and company didn't do a good job. We are stacked at QB, OL, DE, CB's, Safties, Wr's and RB's. We need a few young LB's and a big NT. It's a game of attrition, and this team is from a talent perspective, IMO better than last year. Let's get a win against Buffalo and see what they do against the Jets and let's see how Henne plays with a full week of practice taking 1st team snaps.

I'm disappointed, but I'm not ready to say that decisions made at the top were incorrect.

Actually I'm not disappointed in Pennington. I'm very disappointed in Ginn. I think Pennington doesn't throw it downfield a lot. but why should he? He's not very good at it. He can do it but it's not his specialty. And when he does throw it downfield and throws it pretty well Ginn and Fasano can't haul it in. Pennington has thrown some decent balls lately 50-60 yards downfield and the receiver can't make the play.

Now I'm willing to cut Fasano a break. He played really well for us last year. He's showed us something. I'm still waiting for Ginn to make the big play. This is his 3rd year and 2nd in the same system with the same QB's. He's had a couple good chances last couple of games to show his stuff. He's not good enough. He doesn't play all out. He doesn't make the important catches. He doesn't get yards after the catch, doesn't fight for the extra yard.

Ted Ginn is holding our offense back. We don't have a number one receiver. This team is depending on him to be the guy and step up and he's not doing it. I'm not saying he's a decent receiver because he is decent. But we need a leader. A guy who can be THE MAN for us and all we have a is kick returner drafted too high.

With Henne in now we'll see what happens. Maybe he'll get some chemistry going with the receivers and get the passing game going. We need something though. And I have sneaking suspicion that we might need to spend a 1st round pick on a receiver next year and maybe double up in the 2nd or 3rd round to really beef up the receiving corps.

Hopefully I'm wrong and our passing game gels together next week.

He's the most reliable receiver we have outside of Bess I think.
