In 1983 Dan Marino makes his first start as the QB of the Miami Dolphins.....

Now fast forward to 2009, Chad Henne makes his first start as the QB of the Miami Dolphins........

    What's the big deal?
Both starts are against the Buffalo Bills in Miami.

I believe Dan had a shaky first start as well.

Throw in the fact that Henne is the 13th QB to get to Miami since Marino left... :shifty:

His first game action he threw for two tds no INT. His second game he was sorta meh, 1 TD, 1 INT, 54.5%.

His first start, against the Bills. 3 TD, 2 INT, 65%, 109 rating.

I think his first game action, he threw a perfect TD pass to Mandich???? I also think it was against the Raiders who went on to beat Washington in the Super Bowl.

That's wrong. Pennington was the 13th Miami QB since Marino retired... They made a big stink about it right when he was signed.

And Marino lost to the Bills in his first game. The Bills took it to Overtime and won.

    You sure?
It was a big deal when Henne was drafted because he was the 13th that got here.
Penny was 13th that has started a game, since Marino left.

It sure won't hurt Henne this week that McKelvin and Whitner are both out. Maybe we can see some passes longer than 5 yards....

The TD pass was to Joe Rose against the Raiders.

I was there for his first start against the Bills in October. There was no doubt we had our new QB

Yeah I recall we were down something like 27-0 to the Raiders in 1983 and Marino came in during the 4th quarter to basically mop up, and he threw the pass at will, whereas Woodley struggled the entire game. Marino started something like 2 games later, and we lost a close game to Buffalo. But you knew Marino had something special in him.

This season is a complete disaster. I am more assured than anything, that Ronnie Brown is a major bust. he certainly cost us the game against the Chargers and even when Ricky and Ronnie had that decent game against Indy our defense crumbles.

I fell for the 4-0 preseason start, hook. line and sinker.....

This season is a complete disaster, and its only into the first month.

    I am extremely disappointed.

Oh well, maybe next year, or the next, or the next.....

lets look forward to the perfect season lasting 1 more year....... :knucks:

    d-1

henne is the first QB we drafted or aquired through free agency that has a shot of being the permanent answer to the position since Marino. I have no idea what we were looking for in QBs in the past but we finally have a realistic chance of having the position settled for the next ten to twelve years.

So Dan Marino was in Ace Ventura with Jim Carrey.

Jim Carrey was in the Truman Show with Ed Harris.

Ed Harris was in The Abyss with Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio.

Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio was in The Color of Money with Tom Cruise

And Tom Cruise was in A Few Good Men with Kevin Bacon (TaDahh!)

So I believe the odds are 5:1:chuckle:
