Man, I went out to Vegas in February, it was awesome. If you get a chance get down to the Stratosphere and ride the rides clear up on top of the building ... they're pretty intense.

The Roller Coaster inside New York New York was fun.

We didn't really make it to any shows, but our favorite casinos were probably the Bellagio and Ceasar's Palace.

Make sure you grab an In-N-Out burger while you're there too.

Dang, I forget In N out isn't everywhere. Did you know Thomas Keller (French Laundry) one of the best chefs in the world loves his In-N-Out? True story. When he lands in LA he grabs a bottle of wine and heads over there (not sure how he drinks inside).

Clubbing? Strip Clubs? Gotta hit those two.

Play craps at the Horseshoe. When I lived in Vegas I avoided the Strip and all those glitzy casinos in favor of the Horseshoe. Best craps in town, no matter the hour you can always find a hot table to elbow your way into. Also go see the Boulder Dam and Lake Mead. Beautiful man made lake surrounded by mountains. Get loaded and do some cliff jumping...lotsa fun!

Was in Vegas for opening weekend a few weeks ago. Honestly, best time of my life. We stayed at Palazzo. Literally got a combined total of 6 hours sleep over a 4 day span.

Best Club: XS...we had a table right in the middle of the dancefloor...UNREAL

    Best Strip Club: Spearmint Rhino

    Best Restaurant: SG Steakhouse

Best Memory: convincing the manager of an after hours club that my buddy was a music video producer. The manager comped our tables!

Just make sure to use protection.

If you go to the MGM, see if they cleaned up my vomit over by the Rouge. I left a mighty pile there on Saturday night last weekend.

If you have never been to Vegas before, you can literally spend the entire weekend just walking around taking in everything.

If you have been there before, it really depends on what you want to do for entertainment. Pretty much every show is incredible (I recommend any of the Cirque de Solieil shows). And most of the clubs are insanely fun on the weekends. Throw a rock and you will find a good one.

As for gambling, I never understood some people's obsession for one place over another. Maybe its a good memory thing, but the odds are the same throughout, its just a matter of what ambience you want around you I guess.

I will say that Bally's sportsbook is awesome and I ran in to Marshal Faulk there on Sunday. I also enjoy Wynn's sportsbook as well...mainly the waitresses... :shifty:

I went to Vegas last summer for a week and close friends' wedding at the Wynn. I liked the wedding, the water show at the Bellagio, the show "O", and a wine bar at the Venetian. That's about it. I am not much of a gambler, but I do enjoy blackjack, and the places we went to only had $25 tables,so I was out  There are some places that have $5 tables, but they have convoluted rules and are pretty shady. I have every reason to believe you will enjoy Vegas, though it is not a top spot of mine to return to unless I have tickets to a show every night  I was also there in August, and I would never have thought I would prefer the South Florida humidity to low humidity --the feeling of walking into the feel and smell of an electric oven during the day. Great hair city though!

I really didn't like the clubs so much, but one night I LOVED. We went to a private club at the top of the Mandalay called the Foundation Room. It has an outside viewing area, good music (not all that techno crap) and one can actually order a drink without dealing with wannabes or a mass of people who are over dressed, over extended and well, you know ;-)

Whatever you do, stay out of the Excalibur. Its not safe. I know cause I helped build it :shifty:

As mentioned, if you are going to gamble, go off the strip.

Shows EVERYWHERE. I saw Louis Anderson last time I was there. Great great sit down show.

As Holli mentioned, the entire "Dry-Heat" thing is grade-A BS :pity: I framed plenty of houses there, and trust me, the summer is BRUTAL.

One of my favorite past-times while living there was nothing more than enjoying cocktails in a casino, walk the strip and just people watch.

There is an INCREDIBLE indoor mall at one of the Casino's but I forget which one....its right up the strip from NY I believe.

Also, don't go in the hard-rock cafe.......you guessed it, I worked on that also :shifty:

THe indoor mall is at Caesar's Palace, as my memories are returning more vividly. I got a nice deal on a Coach bag there. As far as going off strip to gamble, I now remember we went to meet friends who were staying at the Hilton, off Strip, and they had $10 Blackjack tables, and I actually played for over an hour and won a little. For gambling, definitely stay away from the Flamingo if you're playing blackjack. Just my experience.

hey hey i'm going there this weekend too. And depending on time of day and time of week you can find cheaper blackjack tables on the strip. We were playing 5 and 10 dollar tables at Flamingo and Bally's (along with some of the seedier places like O'Sheas) back in July. With the economy failing i think casinos are keeping some of the bets a little lower just to entice people more.

You should check out Paris too, the inside is really nice and they have a cool shopping/restaraunt area.
We're going dune buggy racing out in the desert on saturday, should be fun.
If you want sheer quantity of strippers you can try Sapphire, it's huge.
Rain at Palms was a fun club. We saw one of DJ A.M.'s last shows there and there were some beautiful women dancing on poles all night.

but like others have said, if it's your first time just walk around and take it in, it's really fun

If you want gambling and the cheaper minimums you have to hit the cheaper hotels. None of the majors.

I was there in June (I used to go about 4 times a year now I'm old, so only twice or so) with about 60 friends for bachelor party. We had rooms at the Venetian and Palazzo (where Stringer) stayed, they're connected so there was a bunch of walking. You're making me wanna go back now for sure.

Are you going to be with some ladies or is it an all dude thing? I've got friends up there that work the clubs, but to get free cover you need girls, the more the merrier. If not, you just gotta pay the bouncers, or buy bottles.
