I'm sorry I'm so late in posting Mary. I am so happy for you Chris and the girls. Things seem to be finally going well for you. My prayers are still with you girl.
That's what we're planning Joe. We're still waiting for the kennel to come through - we have her sweater and everything else ready to go. Like I told Gloria last night (and it was wonderful "meeting" her) she seems excited and even barked while I was on the phone with her. Gloria also spoke with Chris and Megs and assured them she would be very well taken care of. I just took this pic of her - laying down on the hotel bed. Don't be alarmed Joe - I don't know if it's a characteristic of chihuahuas, but she always folds her hands when she lays down. It looks painful to me - you can see it in the pic - but Chris assures me that it doesn't hurt her.
Thats a cute little lady. I've seen other animals including dogs lay down like that. I think most of their weight is on their body so not much pressure is on the front legs. Probably just keeping her paws warm.
Gloria says that some days she'll drop Bean off here on her way to work so Bean can spend the day with me and The Bastard Cats and get to know them too. (Mine are The Bastard Cats, while Gloria's are The Funny Cats.)
Looks like it huh? Nope - the pink one is her nametag - shaped like a bone. You might want to replace it once she gets there, since it has our old home phone number on it. The blue is her rabies tag and from what the airline said, she has to travel with her "papers", which are her tags along with her fit to fly certificate once we get it from her vet. Still working on the kennel. I don't know if Alex can come through with one. If not we're going to have to buy one that's inexpensive yet still airline approved. I'll keep you posted.
