    1. wow the florida schools really do suck... there are 16 games in a season so how a team could finish 11-3 is a tad confusing... they were 13-3 buddy
    2. almost doesn't count... the bills ALMOST beat the patriots in week one, since then the have shown that they are a solid team.
    3. The saints offense didn't beat us, they only scored one td off the all world defense... sanchez had a rookie game but that will be the only one for a while especially since we get to play the fish twice in the next 4 games.

It took you guys a muffed punt to beat the 0-4 titans.
You beat Houston...who barely beat the same titans...and beat oakland. While losing to a very bad jacksonville team.
Patriots was a good win in a good situation. I wanna see your second game vs the Pats, i guarantee you it won't be the same with Moss and Brady having their timing back. You talk about shutting down NO offense...but Brees had better stats vs you guys, then he did vs the bills. So take that what's it worth. New Orleans ran the ball down your Ds throat....with Pierr Thomas? common now.

Im not saying jets are a bad team, but I think you guys are crowning yourself too soon. Your D is impressive...but stats don't like. You guys couldn't stop NO's run game. Of course, you will concentrate on stopping ours...and something will have to give.

division chumps... perhaps you should look at the standings because you are tied for last... you are what your record says you are, and for you guys that is 1-3... if the fish start playing well maybe that road will be open again but right now enjoy cellar dwelling.

i blame my dad for this all the time... i have been through plenty of miserable seasons... if this isnt bad enough i also root for the islanders and knicks... my sports teams generally suck which is its refreshing to be in first place and i plan on making the most of it.

and on tuesday our reccord will be 2-3 and yours will be 3-2. see how that works? we keep playing until both our teams have played 16 games. at which time we will still have a better record than you. Jets always brag in September and curse in December. You can tell what month it is by talking to a Jets and see how optimistic he feels about his team. Unfortunately for you, October is here, the time of year where wheels start falling off the plane

look at the post before this... i said after the first quarter of the season use that seasons records so by my logic we lost to a very good 10-5 team that deserved to win the division but that is a very different team from this year.

    1. I typed 11, didn't re-read my post and posted it. Also, I live in NY so can I make fun of your reading comprehension of my location in my post, or be mature and just move on?

    2. Of course almost doesn't count, but you're spouting your mouth off like you've beaten the best teams in the NFL. You've beaten mediocre teams in the NFL, beat a good team that was also challenged by a Bills team that we destroyed, and got cleaned by a REAL top team in the NFL.

    3. Sanchez and your wr's are not that great so no it will not be the first rookie game he has for quite awhile. All your team has is a running game and we have the best running defense in the league and we have faced much better offenses than what the Jets are coming with so it will come down to defenses and I believe that our defense will be MUCH better at stopping you than your defense will be at stopping us.

why would you ever use past seasons records?! you know they have 7 round drafts and free agency periods inbetween last season and this season right?

this isnt the same old jets... the are doing what they need to do to win now... this d-fence and coach have brought a whole new culture to them... after we play 16 then i will gladly and congratulate you guys getting the 6th pick in the draft with a 2-14 record.

Didn't all of you guys claim Mangina brought a new culture to you guys?? How'd that work out? He was hailed as a God around here and then run out of town.

and out of all that only about 7 new players are on teams each year... please show me how drastically the teams the jets have played are different this year from last and tell me why i shouldn't use last seasons records if im talking about the first four games.

You have beaten one decent team - Patriots. Who almost lost to the Bills, the team we blew out.

no... people in ny thought he was a good coach but he didnt bring a new culture to us... he brought a belicheat like culture that got many people annoyed even when the jets were winning... rex brings a totally different culture... he likes to run his mouth and talk with a swagger about him that makes jets fans want to hit stuff... this guy is awesome but if he starts losing like mangina did then we would run him out of town just as fast because that is what new york fans do.

this sounds like the bcs... just because we beat a team who has won or lost against another team doesn't diminish the fact that we won... a win is a win in the nfl... it doenst compare the stats of your game with that same players stats of another game... the nfl goes week by week so comparing all these numbers from different weeks makes no sense.

there... i addressed it for you.

yes because thats the only way you compare teams this early in the season... if the dolphins had been in the jets spot this is exactly what you guys would be doing... how exactly have the texans, pats, titans, and saints changed so much that using their records from last season makes know sense... if you fools watched football you would know that... announcers would say a matchup of two 10-6 teams from a year ago if that game happened in week one but now they will say a matchup of a 3-1 team vs a 1-3 team... get out of last place before you guys run your mouth.

ya we did... winning changes everything... i guarantee you that if the jets have a losing record after 3 years with rex we will want him out of town to because new yorkers want to win now.

then id like to see you explain the titans having the same team except haynesworth all of a sudden havent won a game, and have more losses then they did all of last year......

    thanks.

C'mon now bro. You can't have it both ways. If we're a 1-3 team then you beat an 0-4 team in the Titans, etc.
I'm as fair minded a person as you're going to find. But you don't use last year's records at your convenience then turn around and use this year's only when it suits your argument.

We're using stats and games from THIS year and you're saying they're irrelevant but you are using wins/losses from a PREVIOUS year and saying that's justified? The Patriots didn't have Brady last year and went 11-5, Brady is back this year and obviously not playing like he usually does. They got rid of many veterans that had been with the team for years. The Titans haven't been able to stop anything and also their offense is a disaster. LAST season their defense was winning games. They got rid of the best DT in the game in the offseason, Collins is playing nowhere near how he was last year and the team is failing in every aspect of the game.

will do... haynesworth doesn't effect them all of a sudden have the worst secondary in the league... they still pressure the qb and have a good run d... also i'm not sure how losing haynesworth has caused collins to suddenly play like crap... the loss of fat albert hasn't been huge because his area hasn't suffered too much.

So that 13-3 team you beat, did they have all those problems you just explained? I'm pretty sure they didn't. So you DID NOT beat a 13-3 team, or a very good team like you stated. You beat an 0-4 team and a very BAD team.

if you want it that way than we beat a 0-2 team because that is what they were when we played them just like the fins are 1-3 when we will play them... but i have said repeatedly that it makes the most sense to start using this years records after the first quarter of the season... that is the smart way to do it which is why that is the way it is done most often.

they didnt have those problems last year but i was explaning how the loss of haynesworth didnt effect those things and for the last time the jets beat an 0-2 team... they were 0-2 when we played them so that is the team we beat.

I think it's safe to say that the Pats' team of 09 bears very little resemblance to their 08 team. Look at their defense for instance. Seymour, Vrabel, Bruschi all gone. Mayo on IR.

if you're still stuck in last season, shouldn't you being hanging your head in shame, off in a corner, crying from embarrassment somewhere?

The entire Jet Universe needs to hush themselves after last years high-hopes, superbowl predictions, and subsequent crash and burn. We are not yet finished pointing and laughing at you.
