The computer called this game a draw. The only reason I can think of is because of the number of turns passed before I got the computer into this position. We went back and forth for a while. Am I missing something? Is there a reason this isn't checkmate or did the computer just make a blunder.
Of course I noticed.....the CPU wouldn;t screw up like that. ...when you trap your opponent's King (his final piece) and you DO NOT have him in Check...you force a Draw. you screwed up.
It is illegal to move into check. As Section said, if you do not have an opponent in check and he has no moves, it is a draw. You did indeed screw up.
Thank you section that is the answer I was looking for. No need for the stupid comments. I haven't played since I was like 10 when I used to play a LOT. Some of the rules have slipped my mind, hence why I asked.
not stupid comments. I didn;t mean them that way. I apologize if you took it that way. asking if you wanted to play for money was a joke....
Like Chess? Getting bored with it, but still enjoy this sort of game? Try Shogi! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shogi It's a much more offensive and more defensive game.
