Well the one in the end zone that would've actually won the game (never known a 2nd QTR score to decide a game right then and there, I seem to recall a whole half to be played after that QTR, but maybe that is a new rule put in after the Indy game) wasn't a drop, so maybe it was indeed the QB's fault.

There's a lot of Chicago fans around here... none of them are real happy with Hester as a WR.

Then imagine how they'd feel watching Ginn catch passes and fall down like he's on fire?

Hester is a gamer......his goal is always to get in the end zone. Can't say the same about Ginn

    Hester is overrated.

While I'll admit he wouldn't be near the top of my list of WR's and as a receiver he's pretty raw.......he's ten times the player Ginn is.

He's the guy Ginn wanted to be, the guy Camoron wanted him to be when he drafted him.

In fact, I should hate Devin Hester because if it weren't him returning kicks and making everyone else look like they were running under water....Camoron might have never spent the #9 pick on a returner that just wants the play to end so he won't get a boo boo

There are probably thousands upon thousands of guys out there who don't belong anywhere near an NFL field who have the speed to get open deep.

Sprinters can get open deep. Football players play wide receiver in the NFL.

The same way Johnny Knox did last week or Daniel Manning did last year? The Bears have the best special teams blocking in the NFL and have for years. That is a big part of why Hester has been so effective on kick returns.

How so? The guy hasn't done anything except catch a 3 yard TD...

In a power formation with 2 TEs and 2 RBs where we have been running down the defense's throat all day... inside the red zone where we have a severe tendency to not pass.

Regardless......prior to him shifting his focus to WR, Hester was the premier return man in the league. To just say he was a decent returner on a talented unit just isn't accurate.

Yep, finally showing a willingness to use the advantage provided by the running game.

I didn't say that he was a decent returner. But that type of blocking can make a great returner into the best returner ever.

Not a big fan of Cote, in fact I don't care for his "journalism" nor his opinions on much of anything related to sports. But I think he is right on this one, much as I hate to admit it. I am not giving up on Ginn just yet, but I'm getting close.

:lol:I love you like a brother but we had Wes for three years and his total output was 1 TD.

Please lets get a QB that can throw long first and, oh by the way, be accurate while doing so ok. Then and only then will a true #1 WO be worth having.

Just cause Henne has a rifle for an arm doesn't mean much if he can't hit the broad side of a barn.:shifty:

I always thought Wes was the best receiver we had at the time. I do agree Tom Brady is a really good QB and makes Wes even better. The thing I liked about Henne is he was not skitish with the pass rush. A sign he has already started to mature in his role. The more I analyze this offense the more I am becoming convinced we are gonna run the old 49's 4-6 yard pass play run it down your throat style of offense. Which worked for them, what did they win 3 , 4 superbowls. Got to have that Jerry Rice though to keep them honest:knucks:

Which is why it was just an excellent play call... Hartline didn't do anything special on that play.

Okay, I have to ask, what the word "ostensibly" means, and we had a top notch receiver, as in Chris Chambers. Why Cam Cameron traded him away and got rid of Wes Welker to boot puzzles my mind, even still today.....

He got in the end zone.......with the football........and the ref raised his arms for a TD.

Compared to what we get from Ginn.........THAT'S "special"

Looking at the circumstances, it's really not.

That you follow me around on here looking for me to say something bad about poor Teddy?
