What would you guys give the Bills for Evans?

    A bag of doritos.

I'd save our picks and keep the year going as is. If we need a WR this bad draft one in the first round next year.

I might be interested in that. Evans is a good player. He certainly would be better than most of what we have here - he certainly has produced in the past.

Am I in love with giving up a pick to Buffalo, but there are worse things, we traded with the Pats for Pete's sake.

I'd be happy with Evans. I'd give up a 3rd for him, but I can't imagine the Bills selling so cheap, especially to a division rival.

I'd shart myself if we got Lee Evans. Don't see B-Lo trading their best WR inside the division though.

Lee Evans is a top notch WR. He plays bigger a little bigger than he is. I'd love to have him down here.

Outstanding character guy. He fits the mold of a 'non-diva' WR that everyone wishes they had. Buffalo gave him a big contract extension last year though, so it's doubtful they'd move him. Especially within the division.

I'm not interested in Evans. The guy can run deep with the best of them, but I don't see him doing much of else, regardless of the QB situation.

Boldin is out there, but the guy has the worst hamstrings in the league. Guy is out every other week and is always on the injury report. Doesn't seem like a Sparano kind of guy.

Dwayne Bowe would be a great pick up. Young, big, strong, playmaker even with limited QB play. Isn't he in the doghouse in KC?

Vincent Jackson is a FA next year, right?

Depending on where we finish, we might have a shot at top WR in the draft next year (please Dez Bryant).

Disagree completely. When you look at what he's done with JP Lossman and Trent Edwards, I think it's safe to say the guy is talented.

I wouldn't mind getting Vincent Jackson, but Dwayne Bowe isn't going anywhere.

That said, I'm not sure The Democrat and Chronicle saying we're shopping for a receiver (particularly with no source cited) makes it so.

Bowe is a possibility and he is in the doghouse. Haley isn't a fan.

Man, I LOVE D-Bess, but Lee Evans is a top 10 WR without all the extra Prima Donna baggage that is usually attached.
    I would give a 2nd and a conditional 5th for Evans.
That would but Ginn as the #2 and Bess as the dedicated Slot. I like the possdibilities that opens up.

I'd love Lee Evans down here. I just want to know why it's ted ginn's fault down here, but Trent Edwards fault up there? They got two #1s up there and they're horrible.

I say we look at improving our QB play, then see where we are with receivers.

I am by no means a fan of trading for Lee Evans. I think he isa quality WR and better then what we have, but take a look at his cap number per rotoworld

    http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/player_contract.aspx?sport=NFL&id=26
The kid is getting paid like he is a top 10 wideout. I don't think he is even close.
    No point in getting desperate.

Actually in 2010-2012 his salary isn't even that bad. Most of his money came up front, in 2008 and 2009.

But doesn't his pro-rated signing bonus still count against his cap number even if he gets traded? Or does this stay with the Bills? My understanding is that the Dolphins would be forced to pay his base salary, and then have the pro-rated 4.5 million in guaranteed money count against our cap although we do not owe him this?

    Am I mistaken?

Let me tell you about the democrat and chronicle, not entirely reliable. My family stopped wasting our money on buying that garbage paper. Id love to see the trade happen but this source isn't enough to tell me its even a possibility yet.

Yes. All pro rated signing bonus money would immidiatly accelerate and count against the Bills cap. All we would pay is his base salaries and whatever incentives he earns. That would be a very attractive contract to trade for.

The next question is, can the Bills afford to do that?

He said that took place in april...and it would have been a trade for ronnie brown. Probably would have been the worst trade of all time.

If we traded Ronnie for Braylon in April, Bill Parcells woulnd't be in Miami right now.

Trade for Curtis or Evans. If we can't pry them away from their teams, then move on.

Of all the names being thrown around, he's the one guy I could see us "might" be able to pry loose....but he'd have to continue to pitch a ***** fit to get outta KC.

I need to look at his contract status tho to get a better idea of how realistic it is to go after him...

    Thanks man.

    I don't think we'll do it.

Out of the guys they have left that they would actually shop I'd wish they would shop Avant.

Seems like every catch I see thrown his way he comes down with it.

There's obviously a reason they kept him over baskett, too.
