He'll be busy trying to help tackle Ronnie down field.

What should worry you is that you gave up 150+ yds on the ground last week.

I am sure they will play up on the line. Nobody is going to wait for Henne to start whipping down the field.

You obviously missed our game against the Colts then. We had the ball for over 45 minutes.

As for Reevis on Ginn, you don't really have a choice now do you

And their offense only scored 10 points.

The Dolphins are going to run the ball and get yards, but will it be enough to score points?

Looking at your record, no it won't.

    Watched the whole game.

The Colts proved that your secondary is pretty weak. They also proved that throwing the ball is the way to beat you.

They also proved that holding the ball for 45 minutes worth of running doesn't mean you will win the game.

I think it is a good lesson for the Dolphins. You can't be too one sided.

Jets defense is better than the Colts defense.

Had Brees needed to do more, he would have.....

The Saints got all the points they needed and just pounded the ball on you and ran out the clock. That's how football works.

You don't put the ball in the air once a team is beaten

Exactly, that is why the 150 rushing yards that Jets gave up, isn't losing me any sleep.

It is hard to throw on the Jets...

And the Colts Offense is exponentially better than the Jests, what's your point.
For that matter, the Colts are exponentially better than any of the teams you have played with the exception of the Saints.

Agreed. Colts are dominate on offense. No question. If you beat them (final score) this would be a different talk. Their run defense is very suspect.

Great. So now everyone and their brother knows exactly what your offense is going to do tonight. We will bring everyone down on the line and see if you can run it through Scott/Harris/Revis/Rhodes. I will enjoy watching that.

Can't wait. Hope you don't get down in points (10-0) to start, because it is going to be tough to stick to that game plan.

I am pretty sure everyone already knew this. It's not like it new news or anything. Saying you can stop it is totally different from actually stopping it. Yes bring them all down to the line to help out, and when a crack opens up watch Ronnie and Ricky take it to the house since nobody will be back there to save the TD.

B is really...really hung up on our record. Need I remind that Miami won the division starting off 2-4? As far as our rushing related to the 3 losses? Miami did not run the ball much (no idea why) and no real wildcat (pat white formation was NOT wildcat in any shape/form). As for Indy our secondary did NOT suck. What sucked was our ability to cover Clark which has been Miami's sore spot. Gerbil Wilson is losing playing time to Culver which should hopefully alleve that. San Diego game the team was tied until Pennington went down. Bad break but it happens. Miami does have a very valid shot at winning this game if they can limit the turnovers and run the ball. To deny otherwise is wearing the proverbial tinted glasses. If the Jets can cause some turnovers and limit Miami's run game then they win. Whatever comes in the passing game for either team is just gravy. Remember Miami/Jets games 8 times outta 10 are very close. I could see this game being a 3 pt game with neither offense scoring more then 10

(BZ please, B might be someone else).

I am not hung up on your record, it is YOUR record and as the great Tuna said "You are what your record says you are." So you are a 1-3 team.

Any division matchup can go any way, and being in your house on MNF helps a lot, but there are a lot of missing parts to the Dolphins roster that I just don't see showing up in one game.

Alright... time to go get ready for the game... I will be back tomorrow (or tonight if I am not wiped tired) and will take my licks if we lose.

Bleh stupid limited cell phone space.....Just a couple more add ons to my previous post. ie: Indy game clarification when I say our secondary did not suck I mean that by our CB's played very well. Just our ILB/Gerbil Wilson play sucked as evidenced by clarks career day that WAS indy's offense. If the jets want to attack us offensively screens and getting your TE on chowder and gerbil is the way to do it. Running the ball against us will not. I am really interested in how this game goes for both qb's. Could be the start of years of battles between these 2.

Unless both teams come out with completely different game plans to surprise the other, it looks like its going to be one of those stale-mate type games.

The strengths and weaknesses of both teams are so apparent, it feels like all of any could of game planned for this one.

Do you guys feel like either team might try something completely unexpected? Like the Dolphins coming out early and trying the pass game? It seems ridiculous to even say that, but it just seems like each team knows exactly what the other is going to do.

Things can turn around quickly though. Last year you guys were 8-3, but you clearly weren't as good as your record. We were 0-2 and 2-4, but clearly we were better than that.

And the Jets are 3-1 vs veteran QBs.

Henne is by far the easiest QB we have faced.

Yeah, Kerry Collins is pretty damn scary

You haven't faced a team that can run worth a damn, but you are still middle of the road as far as run-defense.

The Saints are the #2 Rush Team in the NFL
    The Titans are #8

And if our run d is "middle of the road" what is your Pass D?

The difference here is (pay attention, this IS important) we are the Number 1 rushing team. Your Run defense is mediocre.
Our pass defense has been beaten by all world QB-TE combinations, you have a mediocre rookie QB and a fair to good TE, and a mediocre passing game overall

Maybe your run D is sooooo great because everyone can throw at you. Ever think of that?

And who is your star QB? A guy who could not beat out Pennington? Henne=Clemens

Yep. He went 1-1 vs the Jets. We looked silly. He beat us. Not the Favre pick 6 or any of the Jets miscues. Chad single handily beat the Jets.

The Phins do make the Jets look like fools yearly. Like the 2 wins in the past 8 games. Gee, we sure have egg on our face for that.

Alright I'll go into a little more detail.
If neither our O or D is very good then beating us will be no great achievement, so why are you here?
On the other hand if we win tonight then you being here will cut you like a sword. Will you then go to every thread you participated in and eat crow? I would expect nothing else from BZ.

Or maybe our Run D is good cause it is just that. Good.

Once again, our Pass Defense has been torched by:
    Matt Ryan and Tony Gonzalez.
    Payton Manning and Dallas Clark.
    Phillip Rivers and Gates.

Nothing to be ashamed of. Those combinations, have been torching LOTS of Defenses, and at least 2 of those guys are first ballot hall of famers.....
We also shut down some very very explosive running teams in Sandy Eggo and Atlanta.
