With the 56th pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers select QB Brian Brohm. With the 57th pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select QB Chad Henne. Brian Brohm was cut by the Packers this offseason and is now on their practice squad. Chad Henne just led the Dolphins to victory against the stinking jets on MNF. Thank you Green Bay for picking the wrong guy!!!
i thought that was an easy pick ... been hoping - waiting for this guy for 3 years to get on the field in a PHINS uni !
Good finding this. You mean for once we're actually on the winning side of our draft choices? I think my head is about to explode, this doesn't really make any sense... I need to think this over. I could get used to this feeling though
I will say the Ted Ginn jr pick has looked better every day, i mean regardless of how Ginn turns out, i do not think Quinn will ever be an elite QB in the NFL, and lets say we did get Quinn, we would not have Henne, and i think we would be in a bigger mess... but its only one game, lets hope Henne can keep this up!
There is ZERO doubt that there was indeed a very good QB on the field last night. Sure glad he was wearing Orange and Aqua
sanchez v henne could be a great matchup for years......................... having said that henne looked great standing in those collapsing pockets.
I totally agree. I was thinking before the start last week that if Henne shaped up to be a great QB, we've got one solid freaking draft on our hands. I mean just go back again and look at it... 1 1 (1) Jake Long T Michigan 2 1 (32) Phillip Merling DE Clemson 2 26 (57) Chad Henne QB Michigan 3 3 (66) Kendall Langford DE Hampton 4 11 (110) Shawn Murphy G Utah State 6 10 (176) Jalen Parmele RB Toledo 6 29 (195) Donald Thomas G Connecticut 6* 38 (204) Lex Hilliard FB Montana 7* 38 (245) Lionel Dotson DT Arizona That's 7 names on that list that are either upcoming stars, or starters. We solved our problem at LE, LT, Very possibly QB, RG, picked up a strong backup guard, and an RB/FB project in Hilliard that has flashes that impress. That's going to be a draft to remember for a long time, gotta love this staff.
Green Bay's decisions last offseason got us Chad Pennington and a division title... AND allowed us to draft Chad Henne. Double-thanks.
