I have to agree with the Bowe bandwagoners. I think he would add an element to this passing attack that would make this offense as good as any in the league.

Zach Miller would be great but I'd be shocked if the Raiders let him go.

Antonio Bryant had a HUGE year last year. For the right price I would check heavily into him as well.

Cribbs I douby the Brownies move. I think hes their best player at this point, which is sad.

I think Bryant is out of the question seeing that he threw a towel in Parcell's face while he was in Dallas.

Bowe would be a huge addition. But personally I see us picking up Matt Jones from the FA pool, I don't see any trades happening.

    Johnnie Lee Higgins?

    Zach Miller?

Where have I read those names before in conjunction with a trade?

    :shifty:

Oakland is having a fire sale, Johnnie Higgins is every bit the kick returner that Joshua Cribbs is, and I'd probably look at Shane Lechler or Morrison the ILB as well...

Bowe and Zach Miller intrigue me alot. As does Johnnie Lee Higgins. Bryant can be a very good WR but he's a headcase, and let's not forget the heated argument he had Parcells in Dallas. So there's about a 0% chance he ends up in Miami.

Higgins was the best PR in the NFL last year, and is 100 times the PR Bess is. Zach Miller is one of the best pass catching TE's in the league. Sucks he has to waste away his talent in Oakland. Lechler is certainly worth a look at, and I would love Morrison, but I can't see them moving him.

    Hey now!

With giving up a 5th for Thigpen, I'd bet it would take a incredible deal for any other trades involving draft picks, prying a 5th out this FO is already a minor miracle, anything below a 5th would have to be a giveaway.

Bowe is #2 or #3 in dropped passes behind Crayon Edwards, and Boldin is having a bad season by his standards and that guy is always nicked up.

Any room left on that Bowe/Miller bandwagon? Man, that would be friggin' awesome! For the right price of course. Not that I have any idea what in the hell that might be.

    Bowe = Turner and a 3rd or 4th rounder?

    Miller = A 4th or a 5th (in 2011) rounder?

Thing is, we have a trade rapport with KC, and Al Davis is, well...Al Davis. So, you never know.

    Ahhh...one can dream.

Not much I woudn't give for Dwayne Bowe. A guy entering the prime of his career.

    He's young
    He's big and athletic
He's proven to be a good player on a bad team. He'd be a great pickup for us.

I'd give up a 1st rounder for him and I mean that. If we draft Best WR available you can't gaurantee he'd be as good as Bowe. Plus, who wants to wait the 2-3 years for that guy to develop when Bowe went through his 2-3 year WR hump

Dwayne Bowe is not coming to Miami unless we trade them our first round pick (or equivalent)... and that's not happening. Sorry guys. The Chiefs, even though it wasn't the current FO, invested a first round pick on him back in 2007. There's no way they are going to sell lower than that value.

Derrick Johnson on the other hand could be had for a cheap price, if we wanted to look at adding an ILB...

If it was me I'd seriously look at moving him back to OLB. I think he's better in space and has a tendency to get lost a little bit when playing inside. They moved him inside with the conversion to the 3-4 and he's been buried behind a journeyman at ILB.

If we're going to trade with the Chiefs, expect them to want talent and picks in return. I wouldn't be shocked to see us try to move either Matt Roth or Greg Camarillo in some sort of package with them. KC is a team absolutely devoid of talent on both sides of the ball (both Alleman and Ndukwe are starters for them, yikes), so they're going to need to go quantity, not quality, as they rebuild.

Wow, I didn't know anything about Bowe until I saw this thread, so I thought I'd look him up. Really nice catch in double coverage, and great protection of the ball as he gets hammered on the way down by two Cowboy defenders:

    http://www.nfl.com/players/dwaynebowe/profile?id=BOW091822

If that's the kind of stuff he does consistently (even semi-consistantly), you can hook me up to that bandwagon and I will pull it by mySELF

So long as we don't offer something crazy in the trade (and with this FO I REALLY doubt we would), I'd be down for this in a heartbeat.

Yeah, that's probably right. I think he was the 23rd overall pick IIRC.

Hey, isn't that the same year we drafted Ginn 10th overall? Wait...what?

    J/K. I don't want/need the TGM to put out a hit on me. :tongue2:

IIRC, I think I heard something about him being in the doghouse with the new regime. That's one possible reason. Another would be GM's and coaches tend to like bringing in their own talent. And, they can use all the picks they can get their hands on to rebuild.

    JMHO...

I would definitely love to get Bowe. I think you kill 2 birds with one stone. You get a #1 receiver in Bowe and you can put Ginn back their on returns.

Who knows if we can get him or not, you never know. Plus people have pointed out that we do have good trading relations with the Chiefs so maybe.

Im not counting on the trade, in fact I almost rather not read news like this cause I just get my hopes up as im sure most of you do as well.

Oh and Miller would also be great.
