This regime make no bones about it, they crave it, they hunt for it, they believe in it, and they even promote it..

Imo,I think they have accomplished it, with the 2 incredibly strong, talented Running backs...This Very big strong, mauling oline, and the genious formation, shoooot, its starting to scare chumps, it is, no BS.

    The three elements working together, is intimidating folks, now if we add the black visors to the black demons, then the equation becomes downright scary. {lol}

Attention Defenses!! Teams, cordinators, and NFL defenders!! Put on the tape, and watch those dudes line up in that formation, watch the confidence for which they come to the LOS, and most importantly, watch them get off the ball and move people, while chaos ensues behind them.... They dont give a damn whats goin on behind them ,lol...i love that about them....I can see Sparano barkin to them in practice.." DON'T WORRY ABOUT WHATS GOIN ON BEHIND YOU!!! JUST SMASH THE SH#$ OUT OF THE GUY IN FRONT OF YOU!!

Good luck with that by the way.

The intimidation factor is in full mother grabbin mode.... and deservedley so..i literally watched jet players stuck in quicksand with eyes bulging last monday nite..let the legend of the player playing in the formation, continue to grow.

Have fun new orleans, throwin in that tape..lol..

OH, and by the way....you must accout for our new QB, who has a million dollar arm, and a face like a bulldog....my goodness was he the missing link..

We are now a fully fuctional hybrid offense..executed by very talented, strong, football players.... very dangerous team we are right now.

Lets get the ball on the feild NOW!!!!! I feel for the Saints. They are going to get slaughtered as a show of force, and as a sacrifice to the gods.

we need one brutal ILB & a very large & nasty NT to accompany Soliai to complete the defense

I wonder how Roth would fare @ ILB?

the team is pretty well set:
    a SpecialTeams player
or two to upgrade the weak link,
    a Franchise WR & that's about it.

Apparaently Chad henne has a big fan in Joey Porter..lets see if thats what Joey has been waiting for to emotionally committ to a run..

If the D can step up, iam not worried about the offense...they have the talent on that D to step up...

I don't think the "Montra" of intimidation is accurate for thse guys.
They are more the tall, quiet let their work talk for them.
I think a few more teams take that o-line for granted before the intimidation Montra is accurate.
That being said, its more a matter of when not if

The offence will beat you up,and knock you down. The defence will clean you up and put you back up on your feet.

Intimidation....I like it. We could put fear into our opponents before we even play them. All they have to do is watch film of us. I bet they get shivers going down their spines. Good post there dj...

The line, the 2 backs, in the formation, they dont have to talk, dont want them to.. their intimidation comes naturally..I do know that they are getting a reputation, a very physical one...And when you gotta take on those 2 230 lb backs all day, with that oline, for usually about 35 40 mins... better be ready to knock heads.

Another very good thing is that our offense is very young. Ricky is older but his body is still young considering he hasn't taken a beating and had plenty of rest for the last 10 years. I am very glad that Parcells and company paid so much attention to the offensive line.

It's just too bad that we have no hope with this defense.

Sure, it's nice to drive the ball on 13 plays taking 9 minutes off the clock and all... But then, the defense gives up a score in 2 minutes on the next possession.

Same has happened in two primetime Monday night home games this year. Just be happy that we had the ball last this week.

If not, we are starting threads about the crappy defense instead of starting threads about our o-line and brown/williams/polite (plus the blocking by the TE's which has been good and should be mentioned).

Maybe you don't, but I certainly do. We have rookies and young players that are learning and getting a little better each week. It's not like this staff and team thinks this is acceptable, they are all working to improve.. last year Renaldo Hill stepped up and made the difference so who knows how we will look after the bye. The coaches can now better evalute what they have and better put them in a situation to succeed.. we have only played 5 games.. 2/3 of the season is still in front of us, with lots of reasons to hope still. :hi5:

Agreed. Not to mention the MNF score didn't really tell the tale whatsoever.

NYJ kept two drives alive with fake punts which lead to 10 points. The first fake punt came after a 3 and out. Later in that drive Bell was called for a B.S. pass int. (ball was over the guys head by a good margin) which gave them a 1st down on 3rd, which lead to 7 and another seven points came after a bogus pass int on Will Allen in the endzone.

As far as I'm concerned the Jets had 17 questionable points scored and a bunch of questionable yards as a result of bad penalties and fake punts.

We're not an elite defense by any means, but I think we're slowly getting better.

The only player on the defense who is consistently getting his hand on passes is Sean Smith, that is an alarming trend.

I almost have the feeling that DC Pasqualoni would be happy rushing 3 dlinemen and dropping 8 back into coverage.

There are not alot of teams that can out-physical us.

someone on an opposing team said last year that "No one we've played hits as hard as they do"

I remember Parcells sreaming at his defense.."lets go!!!This is why you lift all them damn weights"..

At some point very soon, this team is gonna find a groove....their gonna find that groove because at some point their bodies are going to respond from them working harder then anyone else this offseason..

We have yet to play a game where we have put all three phases of the game together..

    Its coming..

Chad Henne makes this team better.

Our defense has more talent and more young experience then last year..

YO Joey Porter..its time to lead this team on a run brother, get it goin baby... if we can beat the saints..we are the most talked about and one of the most feared football teams in the league...

Its a shame you didnt live in New York during the Parcells Giants teams. You wouldve gone nuts! lol. Ive seen this play out before both with Parcells and the Shula/ Csonka Dolphins. And what really has me excited is he has upgraded every unit but one...the linebackers. Wait till next year when the last unit is replaced. Noone here has seen a Parcells defense yet. Wait till we have the pit bulls at linebacker to really make this defense top three. A top three defense, a top three running attack and Henne. Thats a Super Bowl team right there

no but i envied them from a distance..what a blueprint.

The giants this year are walking on the field and scarin chumps..

This play where we go 2 tight end and lousaka leading ronnie behind that oline is just ridiculously bad ***. I just dont think you can stop it consistently, not with ronnie making the read every time.

I know prez this defense is a lot more talented then last. Its who ride time..Joey needs to take the defense over and put all his emotion into a run..

We beat new orleans, its on baby

dj, i hope the G-Men bust the thug stick out on NO this week .... it is nice to have them roll into town before they come into MIA. that really works in our favor ...

some adjustments in the secondary, and we can be prepared for them ... just please, please, please, put Smith on their best WR ...

we very much can win next week ... and with improved secondary play, we can win the next 3 weeks ....

the defense is a step behind the offense
    however
    neither have reached their potential
nor do we need to acquire many more pieces

    offense: WR
    defense: NT & ILB
special teams: two or three specialists

(depending on their development this year)

the team is very solid & improves with every game
and we have accumulated draft picks this year
    We're in good shape:dolphin:

Perfect time for this bye, gives the staff time to work out some of the problems with the D, develop our pass rush and get the DB's to stop giving up the long pass plays.

If that happens, and the O keeps playing like last Monday, then all this team needs is to light a fire under the ST's and we could go on a run.

Keep in mind that the Dolphins are fifth in the league against the run, allowing just 76.4 yards per game.

Our young corners are coming around and there seems to be a potential for consistent pass pressure, so our only real sore spot is in the middle of the field against the pass.

On a separate note, if Miami could somehow get their hands on Tennessee free safety Eric Berry, the defense would go from ok to dominant. Probably no shot of having that happen, though (he's probably a top 5-10 pick).

We still need some safeties. I think I spotted a good NG in todays game. Arkansas vs Florida. That big dude that played right in the middle. He was a beast. Fast and big. I cant remember his name or number though. 95 or 96?

96 Malcolm Sheppard DT 6-2 291 Sr. Bainbridge, Ga. (Bainbridge HS)
