he never said that......he stated a fact. ginn catches that ball we win. he drops it we lose.

we were a ted ginn drop from winning. regardless of what happens before....we win that game if teddy catches that ball.

the saints tearing up the giants like this is a good sign for me. They're a sporadic team, so them riding high will give us a chance to sneak up on them. The plan for the saints is the same as it was for the colts. run all day and hope our defense makes just enough plays for us to win. The colts game, they let us down. Hopefully they don't again.

I will say Vontae Davis could possibly play HUGE in this game.

The other factor as noted is Clock Control. We own it, we have a shot.

After pounding the Giants so badly, they may come in very overconfident. That's where the Wildcat could really catch them napping.

So is the defensive answer pressure up the middle?
Pressure from the edges never bothered Dan much.

Very debatable considering Peyton could score with less time on the clock.... Certainly puts us in the driver seat.

the only way we win that game is if we control the clock AND get a turnover or two

The Saints are hitting on all cylinders bu that doesnt mean we're just going to lay down like dogs here. We are going to play ball control offense and milk the clock. I suspect we are going to flood the zones deep and force them to drive on us, concentrate on taking away big plays and force them to play mistake free ball. Beat on their receivers when they catch passes underneath. Make them worry about the hits and maybe they'll start dropping some passes in the second half. We have a reasonable chance in this game. We'll have to get some breaks and lucky bounces but we can win this. Our running game will be the key. If we can run we can win

Elsewhere Brady seems to have gotten it together against the Titans...52-0 in the third quarter. Can't believe what has happened to Tennessee this year.

we'll have to balance the game
    1) stay on the field offensively
    2) implement the pass rush
    3) secondary will need more time to catch up to this level of play.
only so much can be done in a week.

ive seen a few people in here say they arent worried about new orleans' running game. they are 3rd right now. i believe they were 2nd, behind only us, last night.

now im a little more worried about the patriots too. we definately need our passing defense to improve durring this bye week.

Don't worry about the Pats they played a terrible Titans team and padded their stats.

yeah but so far our only wins are against terrible Bills and Jets teams. The good thing about playing the Pats is its late in the season and our rookie corners will have more experience by then so they should be a little more consistent. I think its clear that The Patriots are going to be our biggest threat to winning the division title.

more importantly, Sanchez has thrown 3 or 4 INTs and the Jets are tied with the Bills with less then 8 minutes left in the game...

Regardless of what else happens, we win that game if our D can tackle. Heck we win it if we go for it on 4th and 1 and not allow them to score quickly before halftime. Heck we win that game more then not if we didn't screw up on so many different occasions. Focusing on Ted dropping a pass is not the only bad thing from that game.

I'm not so sure. Looking at the next game, this could be the letdown game on the road vs 2-3 opponent after thrashing the 5-0 Giants.

The Saints are good and they looked really good today.
With that said, I still believe we win this football game.
We've always seemed to fair well against Brees, even from his days with the Chargers.
I know, I know...different guy, different team, different year.
But, I still think we'll be there at the end with a chance to win...in which I think we do win.

I think what happened with the Jets is they just surprised everyone at the beginning of the year. Now that teams have enough tape on them there defense isnt as scary anymore. The offense has a mediocre run game coupled with an erratic rookie QB. I think we wipe the floor with them. Bring ammonia. we will have to disinfect after the game

I am interested to see Sanchez play through November and December. If he consistently struggles in cold weather games that will be a very bad sign for them.

Regarding this Saints game, the difference is they have a defense playing at a high level as well as the explosive offense which is really benefitting from Shockeys revival.

This is a possible trap/letdown game for them, but we will have to play lights out to win this one.

The Saints are good but we can win. Look we were so close to beating the Colts, and they are just as good. We're coming off a bye week, we have a ton of confidence now. We can win. We have to keep Brees on the sideline as much as possible.

The Pats dont scare me, the refs in that game will.
we could trash the Titans just as easily as they did.

True, I doubt we get blown out, the Saints struggled against the Jets and Bills. It will be a close game.

Welcome Saints fan. Look, sneak into your teams locker room and tell them to let us win. We need it more, you guys are most likely going to get the #1 seed in the NFC anyway. Plus it's always good to lose at least one game to see what mistakes you need to correct before the playoffs.

Hah anyway, I think we have a good chance, with our run game and o-line, we can hang around and maybe win by a TD or a FG. should be a fun game with us honoring the 1982 and 1984 AFC Championship teams, maybe it'll bring us good luck.

The Saints actually run the ball very well. They are ranked 4th in the league in rushing.

    3rd in YPG @159
1st in rushing TDs with 9
6th in league in YPC with 4.6
    2nd in Attempts per game
