Im protesting the vest and the most overratted QB in Ohio State history... Call it what u want, Pryor has regressed time to move on. Go Bama
I agree with you but I don't give up on a team I root for just because things don't go all gravy all the time.
I agree. I never wanted any other team but Miami to win during our last two years (or any years before that)
True, but under no ranking system is that considered. Even if you have a playoff you arent going to say, well OU is better than their record and lost by only a few points to good teams. So they get in over a 1 loss team who played easier competition. They are their record. The rest doesnt really matter. They will be out of the top 25 soon, that hurts your SOS argument. Whether they lost by 100 points or 5.
Not even for 5 days? If I remember u were pretty anti OSU at one point last year....so please just let me vent publicly as u did aswell. Im bidding on a Crimson jersey as we speak!
Never changed teams. Sure I share my displeasure but never do I give up on them and change my colors.
I don't believe that they should be ranked highly, but I still think they should be considered a great team. If that makes sense. Oklahoma has only lost games because they play a very tough schedule themselves. That's why I'm not a fan of the whole SOS in the first place. It punishes teams for putting another great team with a touch schedule on theirs.
Iowa hasn't lost a game, Miami has. Get over it. -Iowa has beaten a very good Penn State... AT Penn State. -Iowa has beaten a pretty good Michigan team... -Iowa has beat a good Wisconsin team at Wisconsin. (This is a big rivarly) Maybe if you guys weren't saying "NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!" after one win in September, you wouldn't get so upset over these rankings that will change next week. I highly doubt Iowa goes undefeated, but IMO, the only one that stands in their way in Ohio State. The rest of their schedule they play solid teams, but not push overs. Unlike most of the Big Ten, Iowa doesn't get to play Purdue and Illinois, whom are pushovers... However after this week I'm sure Ohio State would love to have that option...
Great teams win close games. Oklahoma had chances in every game they lost to win the game. They didn't and they are not a great team. They are a good team with great talent but not a great team. I think Cincy with Pike would beat Oklahoma. Boise State COULD beat Oklahoma. Boise has better talent than BYU and better coaching so yeah they could. Boise also beat a good Oregon team as well.
Not a big difference between Scarlet and grey and Crimson and white.. Relax "die hard" im not going anywhere.
You must think very lowly of Miami and Texas then. That is all I can say about that. When two great teams play only one can win, so that idea is flawed. You can both be great and one will lose a close one regardless.
I think it'd be a good idea to quote who you're referring to that was complaining about Iowa and was hollering National Championship after one game cause it certainly wasn't every Miami fan on this board.
I have nothing against Iowa man calm down no-one is saying Miami championship. In college football a team can lose a game and be BETTER than an undefeated team. That is my point. Voters seem to only take record into account instead of who you actually played. For instance USC is clearly (to me) a much worse team than either Miami or Iowa. Yet they are ranked ahead for what reason?
Pretty sure USC could beat Iowa without any problems..Probobly Miami also, and I hate USC so this is an unbiast comment.
Great teams win close games. What is so hard to understand about that? Miami found away to come back from a very bad qtr and win. Texas had a horrible day and still managed away to win. Great teams find ways to win and Oklahoma is not a great team. This is not 08 Alex. This team is no where near as good. They played tough teams but to be considered great you have to win and not only have they not won but they have lost to every opponent they have played who is good or better.
I'm not saying they would win, but in the world of college football.. to say some team would have no troubles with another (especially when both are quality teams) is just silly... It'd be like if I said Iowa would beat Miami (FL) without any problem... just straight up untrue. No game in the NCAA is an easy one, especially when both teams are good teams.
Spoken like someone who's favorite top ten team played College of Chucktown Troy and FIU, FAU, FTU or FsomethingU...................................
